“Always come here on school holidays and the kids enjoy soaking and playing for hours. Just limited space for them to swim in one lane but I am glad it is free entry for kids!”

Rotorua Aquatic Centre
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Open until 09:00 PM

18 Tarewa Road, Rotorua 3010, New Zealand

“Not much fun at the moment. Only a very small area allocated to "public recreation" which is where the kids can play (18 kids jammed into a 3mx 5m space). the rest is allocated to lane swimming (with only 4 people lane swimming). Suggest that the allocation of space is more dynamic and responsive to public requirement at the time.”

Todd Energy Aquatic Centre
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Open until 06:45 PM

8-16 Tisch Avenue, New Plymouth Central, New Plymouth 4310, New Zealand

“Great pool but the big let down was the state of your family change rooms and toliets which were pretty gross! All you could smell was pee. Other than that let down it's a great place”

Freyberg Community Pool
4.3
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 08:00 AM

33 Thames Street, Roslyn, Palmerston North 4414, New Zealand

“Very disappointing pool. Poor staff training and obvious lack of staff morale. They are very rude and culturally ignorant. I was told the pool closes at 7 pm. At 6.30 pm on 5th May 2022, the changing room for children is closed because the staff needs to finish early and go home. I was directed to use the adults changing room to change a child that is under 4. The adult changing room has no privacy, so I took my children home in their wet swimming wears. My son called his behaviour silly, of course, it was silly. The staff member is more interested in leaving work early than following the time set for their operations. On a different note, I was told children cannot swim in the empty space while the swimming lesson is ongoing. On different visits, I noticed that children were swimming in the same space that I was told children are not allowed to swim when lessons are in progress. It was clear to me that the unruled staff member is racially ignorant and have no sensible justification for his behaviour. Overall, I think the poor quality is a result of poor management who could not provide its employees with basic training, attract sensible job applicants, and support the service they promised to provide for 20 minutes of weekly training for $15. Is indeed appalling as one of the other reviewers here stated.”

Massey Park Pool

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 06:30 AM

2 Ron Keat Drive, Papakura, Auckland 2110, New Zealand

“Not too bad a pool. Great for the kids. Has a wave pool, a hydro slide, showers, kids lessons, lap pool, lazy pool, sauna, steam room and spa. There are no diving pools. From time to time, they let you jump off the deep section which is really cool of them. Staff are great and friendly. Awesome bunch of people Pricing is reasonable. Changing rooms are pretty good. Over all not a bad place to go! Lots of choice. Downside is when it gets busy, it gets very very busy and can get cramped quite quickly”
