“One of the best takes on an Asian fusion place we’ve been to, really good service on a busy Friday night, the food is stunning and the portions pretty big for a small plates restaurant. The venison tartare was seriously special, and the duck fried rice lived up to the hype. Cocktails are great, good value too. Only very minor thing was it was all over pretty quickly, a touch rushed, but that’s just picking! Brilliant place.”

“I'm not the biggest fan of Spanish food but haven't had any for years so thought why not try some tonight. I looked online and this place appeared to have good reviews so off I went. First impressions was how surprisingly busy it was on an early Thursday evening. It took a while before I was seated. I was seated at the bar first but asked if I could be seated at a table. They gave me an hour as the table was booked, which was more than enough time. There wasn't really anything on the menu that really popped out to me so decided to play it safe and order a potato small plates and a shin beef special. The potato arrived piping hot so I had to let it cool down for a bit. Flavourwise, I personally thought there was too much going on and I'd rather it was a more simplistic affair. I guess this is how it's meant to taste so bear that in mind. As for the beef, that arrived a lot cooler and it did taste quite nice though I wish there was more chucks of beef. The sauce was really tasty but I had no spoon and it didn't come with any bread to soak up the juices so I wasn't sure how best to consume this dish. Though I wish I had picked other dishes, that's not to say the food I did have was by any means bad. Its more likely I don't appreciate Spanish cuisine as much as others do.”

“The food here is outstanding, and so reasonably priced. We ate three delicious courses and paid less than £35 each. Honestly it is brilliant value. The outside area is really nice too. Only slight downside is the very tight car park, and we asked for tap water twice and never got any. But aside from that it is really great.”

“Just really loved the surprise of this place. Looks kinda ordinary outside and the inside is a nice mix of old and new. Love their support of local produce and producers. Staff super friendly with perfect balance of helpful but chilled. Food really tasty. Squid 🦑 not great (you gotta get that right in the world of squid games) but everything else spot on. A brilliant start to a great afternoon as we went on to the Woodfine Wine tour just down the road which was fab!!!!”

“Lovey place. Our visit was listed on our tastecard so booked a table for our visit to Oxford. We good use of the happy hour cocktails and enjoyed the tapas we ordered. Friendly and helpful staff. I will say the food came seemed reheated food, but was tasty and well presented. Would definitely recommend a visit.”

“Been here twice and it's become my favourite restaurant in Exeter! First off, I have to say that the food here is really professional and the quality has been consistent so far. The bread board in the nibbles section was a good start to my meals. The sourdoughs was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with a balsamic vinegar and olive oil dip, seeds and butter. For starters I had the goat cheese pie and the chicken liver parfait with apple, both looked and tasted amazing. I had the parfait at The Ivy but I could clearly tell the one here was higher quality. Then came on to the mains, I had the steak and the duck breast. Both meats were cooked pink and tender, with thoughtful choices of sides and sauces. The meats were basically Michelin level. I had the dessert of the cheese board last time and they used a perfect combination of 4 cheeses sourced from Devon, with a generous helping of fruit, crackers and bread. As for the wine, there were a lot of choices and unfortunately I don't know my wines so I can't tell you what I had exactly but trust me, you're in good hands here. The only downside here is the lack of staff. When I first got here, it took the host quite a few minutes to notice me.”

“Had a great time at arc le salon. Good location, amazing staff and the food too, portions were big and super tasty. We had the prawn tacos, lamb chops, delicious pasta but for me the mind blowing was the desert as I’m a sugar lover. My friend loved the drinks as they had a passion fruit margarita which is better than the original margarita version! High recommend specially because the decor is the cuttest thing!”
