“My friend and I sat on the patio facing the Heights Trail. I absolutely love the location for the Heights area because it’s so centrally located between shepherd and Yale that walking is possibly for those that live here. Houston needs more of this. The food was fantastic. When they ask if you want spicy, get it, trust me. It added a nice kick that didn’t melt my intestines and dissolve my tongue. Portuguese and Indian fusion goes together so well. Perfect flavor. I’m a cheese person so I had paneer and goat cheese (separate dishes) and they were tasty, the perfect temperature when served, and a good portion to share. And not like a 40lb plate where sharing is recommended. These were small plates but sharing allowed me to not waddle out of there. I recommend this place.”

“Kat sat us quickly and offered us blankets plus a fire pit & comfy chair! Music was oonnn point 🙂(funky and chill). Service with Cullen was effortless too! And all of the food (papas bravado, octopus, crudo, sandwich) and cocktails (Marbella gin and tonic and Pamplona) were DELICIOUS! 😋 Rock solid Spanish food and vibe.”

“Checked out El Raval for some tapas. The atmosphere was a little loud for me but I liked the Spanish aesthetic. The service was good but a little reactive at times. The food was great! Pan con tomate was super crispy, well-seasoned, and packed with delicious tomato flavor. Was an awesome way to kick off the meal. For a beverage, I tried the House Gin Tonic, which I enjoyed. The calamari and meatball dishes were both solid. The calamari was perfectly cooked and the breading was delicious. I ended w.the cheesecake and coffee, which both hit the spot. This was a really enjoyable first visit and I look forward to trying their other dishes.”

“The ambiance reminds me of a neighborhood restaurant in Europe (maybe it was just the semi-chill weather). Staff were great. The best part they stay open pretty late. We had the pretty in pink and whisky of the month. Both were decent. The Ahi tuna poke was okay. I think the dish would be netter had the rice been served hot rather than room temperature. Also, the Ahi didn't taste like Ahi. Honestly, I thought it tasted more like shrimp. I love the concept, but it wasn't executed properly. Fried chicken sliders. This was decent. Truffle fries. This was decent. Nothing jumps out as being amazing. Mushroom alfredo pizza. The crust was fantastic, but that was it. There was no flavor. I had to put on a bunch of salt to just get a taste of it. Deviled eggs. I love deviled eggs. I just not these. They were quite runny. I think this is a good place for a weekday meal, but if you are waiting for a special occasion, I would look elsewhere.”
