“Love it!! A great picturesque ground tucked away in inner city Leicester. Always voted best playing surface each season (Probably because the away teams usually win there!!) It is the second or third biggest playing area in the world. There are plenty of service points for drink and food and improvements are being made to the facilities each season. It also possesses the only working manual scoreboard in County cricket. Get along for a visit you won't regret it. Grace Road....Always a great day / night out.”

“I recently visited Walton Park for a day of family and friends fun, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The park offered a wide range of amenities that catered to various interests. One of the highlights of the park was its well-maintained playground. It was thoughtfully divided into sections, ensuring that children of all ages could have a great time. The play area for toddlers was perfect for the little ones to explore and play safely, while the separate play area for older kids provided an engaging space for them to run, climb, and have fun. Sports enthusiasts had their share of excitement too. The tennis and basketball courts were in excellent condition, and what I particularly liked was the flexibility to use the same court for 5-a-side football. We even tried our hand at cricket, although it might not have been the intended use for the space. The only downside was that the toilets were closed during our visit, which was a bit inconvenient, hopefully this might have been a temporary issue. For those looking for a quieter experience, the peaceful walk by the canal adjacent to the park was a serene escape from the playground's energy. Additionally, the small train ride available on Sundays added an extra layer of excitement for the kids. One minor suggestion would be to add more slides to the kids' play area. After a while, my children did start to get a bit bored, and a few additional play elements could have kept them entertained for longer. All in all, our visit to Walton Park was a pleasant one. It's a well-rounded destination for families, sports enthusiasts, and those seeking a tranquil walk by the water. With a few minor improvements, it could become an even more attractive spot for a day of outdoor enjoyment.”

“Some years ago I officiated professional tennis here both ATP and WTA events. It is a wonderful place both outdoors and indoors. Now only junior events are held here. However it is an excellent venue for families to enjoy playing tennis and there is coaching available also.”

As someone who attends a gym regularly, I can vouch that the gym floor not only has all the equipment you would expect from an elite health club, but it’s got that ambiance you want when training, it flows perfectly. The Spa & classes 11/10 The true standout for me is the service, I have only been a member for 3 weeks, but it just doesn’t feel that way because of how lovely & friendly everyone is. The reception are always smiling and ready to hand me a towel. Superb service when joining from Stacey, got me set up with everything needed and has since kept in contact to make sure I am enjoying my membership.”

“I went to the tennis centre and had a really good time. I and my friends booked the outdoor space for two hours. There are multiple courts with other players so it’s easy to feed of other people’s energy. The only downside is that we went on a cold evening so my hands almost froze. Will definitely recommend that you go with gloves 😅”

“Constructive feedback. Cubical walls and surfaces haven’t been cleaned in a long time, toddler pool has one bubble area but no other play or water action areas. Also some mosaic tiles on the corners are sharp and cut me. Positives. Friendly staff and good lifeguards. Water was warm and other facilities were fine”

“Great walk around Bitts Park and then to the Sands Centre to the Brick Festival. Set off with an ice cream at the containers. Rum and raisin was very nice. I think it is Wallings ice cream. Why can't thos3 containers be moved during the winter. How are the businesses meant to survive? Walked along the river. Shame about the park keeper's house. What are they doing with it? I remember getting Dandelion and Burdock in a glass bottle from the kiosk next to the tennis courts as a kid. Walked along the river to The Sands for the Brick Festival.. Loved the pictures next to the subway especially the tale about custard creams.. I love the city when you can smell them from the factory...lovely day...”
