“We hosted a religious wedding banquet at SCVCC last weekend, and it was perfect. By far, this venue is the best wedding venue in the bay area. The setting is gorgeous, and the banquet hall overlooks the golf course and you can see the man made waterfalls from the side. The cocktail area was setup nicely. The appetizers were great. The staff is very professional and competent, especially the director of catering Rosa Molina, who helped us throughout the whole process. Rosa was very friendly, helpful, responsive and easy to work with. Rosa went out of her way, and during her off days, to respond to our messages and emails. Other staff members who helped us include David Urrea, James Hallihan, and Domenic Pomponio. All our family and guests loved this venue and are considering it for future events.”

“I will start the review with, this course is great. However, it is not as great as I expected it to be. The course is challenging, however it is not as hard as I thought it would/ should be. There is almost no punishment for hitting wildly inaccurate drives since there is no existence of rough. I was suggested to play from not the tips but one set forward, I found myself hitting wedges into every single green from that length, which is not what a hard course should present. I thought the greens were slow, but firm. Almost all putts would end up short when you are expecting a tournament course to be slick. There was a ton of bare spots throughout the course, which is weird as we approach a PGA event at this venue. If I was a golf digest rater, I certainly wouldn't have the course in the top 60. I have played over a dozen top 100 public courses, and this course is probably one of the weakest presentations I have seen. Its worth playing I suppose, but I would not say its a must see, and I likely would not come back again.”

“The playground is run down. Most of the modules are broken. The park put chains and yellow signs on one of the slides which the kids could pass with ease. If there was something dangerous (which I didn't see) the kids were exposed to it anyway.”

“I caddied there when it was new. They have great staff and if you are inclined they have multiple rooms for events. The coarse was always well care for but it is now surrounded by homes. Do not know if that effects your game.”

“Awesome course and great food (especially like Sunday brunch the few times I've had it). You'll golf alongside some of the best houses in one of Bakersfield's best neighborhoods. The little cafe on Hole 9/10 is a great place to stop for a quick snack as well, with quaint views and a lack of car noise. I noticed they paint their grass, which seemed a bit odd at first, but didn't really end up mattering. It still looks good.”

“This course is special. Impeccable conditions from tee to green. Amazing staff. The cream of the crop when it comes to private golf clubs. The most beautiful approach shot I've ever experienced on the 18th hole. I can't say enough good things about this amazing place. I could spend the rest of my life playing there. “I’m very happy that the gym had an upgrade and added the power lift section. And I consistently see old/broken equipment taken care of (my wish though is to see the landmine permanently fixed.
