“KhuaKlingPakSod, an ex-Michelin guide restaurant known for Southern Thai cuisine, left me with mixed impressions. While I sampled their signature dish, the Khua Kling Moo Sab (Spicy Stir-fried Minced Pork), it turned out to be underwhelming. The overpowering chili overshadowed any other flavors, and the aftermath on my digestive system was less than pleasant. On a brighter note, their Pomfret was a highlight. Fresh and skillfully fried to a point where even the bones became crispy enough to consume, it was a culinary success. However, the steep price of nearly 2000 THB was a setback. The flavours of the Pad Thai was a tad bit too heavy for me and I would prefer it to be less sweet and salty. The dining experience could use improvement, both in terms of service and temperature as the restaurant's cold atmosphere was quite discomforting. This restaurant was probably the biggest letdown of my trip to Bangkok and I will recommend visiting other eateries over KhuaKlingPakSod.”

I ordered 499b combo with no additional service charge and VAT, which includes live seafood such as prawn, several selections of crabs, clams, cooked food and ice cream. Long queue outside the restaurant, almost waiting for an hour to get in in week day at around 8pm. Opening hour is vary, ask through Facebook or phone call before you go to make sure it's opened.”

“Good spot for Thai food (in a nicer environment/ ambience) but only if you’re in the area. Would recommend the steamed sea bass with lime although it is SPICY (and we’re fairly tolerant to spicy food) despite it being medium spicy on the recommendation of our nice server Roast belly was really good - crispy skin but tender meat with good meat-fat ratio but the highlight was the sauce that came with it - simply amazing concoction of a sauce We tried the plum soup but I’d recommend to skip this as dish portions are generally decent so try another recommended dish instead. We had the tamarind prawn as well which I enjoyed but sauce may be too sweet for some. Restaurant was packed during our visit which made it difficult to get service and attention, spot was mostly for tourists too as we didn’t see any locals but price is reasonable for the food. Would recommend to make advance reservations as tables are limited and there seems to always be a crowd”

“I discovered this place on Instagram, well-known for the scenery from its rooftop bar. If you climb to the 5th floor using stairs, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Wat Arun across the river and its light show. I understand why this place is so popular. The atmosphere, location, and drinks were what I exactly wanted from a rooftop bar. It's worth noting that they do not take a reservation; it's walk-in only. The tables were full when I arrived there at 7pm on 12/24, so I took a seat at the counter. I was totally fine with this and even made a new friend who was sitting right next to me!”

“Overall, mixed feelings about this place. The food was amazing and we loved the taste. However it was completely empty where we were sat inside, and it did feel a bit awkward having a whole group of servers constantly looking at us and watching our every move… The staff were super friendly though and we knew they had the best intentions - service was good, just wasn’t entirely comfortable with the lack of subtlety. We initially intended to sit outside but the tables seemed too low and small to have a comfortable dinner, so we moved indoors. Music could definitely be improved upon as the bass was really heavy and the party music didn’t really suit the vibe at all… i wouldn’t object if this was later on in the evening (it was only around 6pm at the time) but it didn’t really fit with trying to have a calm dinner and some nice conversation. Nevertheless, as stated above, the taste of the food was great. Wide choice of appetisers and i particularly enjoyed the salad (especially with the balsamic vinegar). My absolute favourite was definitely the dish with the portobello mushrooms! We ordered: Spinaco with parma ham salad and balsamic reduction dressing (590) Calamari al forno (baked squid) (750) Aragosta aglio al forno (1490) fresh canadian lobster with garlic butter and french bread Crema id spaghetti black truffle (790) Wagyu F1 black truffle tenderloin (1990) Gamberi portobello (650) sautéed prawns in honey, lemon, and garlic butter with baked mushrooms and tomato salsa Spring chicken stew (550) baby chicken thigh with red wine, truffle mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables - mashed potatoes were so delicious and the best i’ve had in a while! :) Good food but our experience would’ve been much better with improvements to the music, hovering of the staff and maybe some adjustments to the outside seating. View would’ve been great but the seats just didn’t look comfortable at all. Maybe would have been better for drinks at night instead of a dinner spot, but I don’t know. It’s pretty cold inside so be sure to take a scarf or cardigan.”

Recommend to try Nham prik dish (Thai dipping sauce). We had Lhon which so good. Fried fish sauce sea bass was well cooked and well seasoned. Kaeng Leaung (yellow spicy broth) also delicious. I think all of their soup dish are great. But the curry crab was too sweet and the portion not worth the price in my opinion but you can try out anyway if you’re craving for it. Easy to eat i guess.”

“This is by far my second favorite Michelin restaurant in the world apart from Central in Peru (3 Michelin stars, Top 50 restaurants of world), so I must say, this is absolutely a must visit even if you need to take a flight to Bangkok. All the dishes were memorable, and the flavors were varied: a spicy one would be followed by a palate cleansing lighter flavor to help level set the flavors. What this restaurant did really well was leverage local flavors from southern Thai to create a theme of food uniquely Thai, and that helps it get it's well deserved 2 stars. If you are looking to book Michelin restaurants in Bangkok, book this one first! (trust me, been to a few of these in the area). Warning: food can be spicy! But they provide coconut powder to help drown it. Tip for restaurant: I think the story telling is missing to get it to 3 Michelin stars. Having a consistent theme and story talking about each foods origin and packaging it together would definitely push the experience higher. Recommend the chef to visit Central in Peru to learn how they do it to snag their 3 stars. You are close :)”

“Possum is served with pickled onions and is very refreshing and delicious. The kimchi stew had a light spicy taste, but the fried dumplings and gochujang pork bulgogi were also very delicious. This may be the best Korean restaurant I've ever eaten at in Bangkok. Evian is the only water available and it costs about 90 baht, so I wish they would carry cheap drinking water. No parking lot. No smoking allowed. (outside) No private room. This restaurant has large portions per plate and is suitable for casual gatherings.”
