“This place was packed, the service great, and my dish was very tasty. However, there were a couple things that prevent me from giving it more than three stars. The most Important is that my friend had stomach issues after eating here. Now, was it the food here or something else? Not sure, but we ate the same thing the entire day, except for the dish here. The other big thing was that we sat at the bar. The couple next to us ordered a fish that smelled so strongly that it was overwhelming. I could not enjoy or finish my meal the smell was so strong. This is not the restaurant's fault and I applaud them for having dishes like that one, but it did greatly affect my experience and this is, after all, my review. The last thing is that the bill comes with a 20% service fee automatically tacked on to it. This may be normal in DC, but it doesn't mean it should be. What is next? A 20% kitchen surcharge? I gave a tip to our server because she was awesome. But I did not appreciate the automatic 20% upcharge.”

“This was my first time in the DC location after visiting the Rockville location (which was a lovely experience). Unfortunately, the service from the staff was disappointing. From what I saw from the other tables and my own we needed to call staff multiple times to ask for things whether it be a new drink or a water refill. The dishes themselves were excellent but my pad Thai arrived over 5 minutes after my partners dish. At that point my partners food had gotten cold from waiting for me to get my plate.”
