( 8 reviews )

Japan, 〒542-0084 Osaka, Chuo Ward, Souemoncho, 7−13 レインボービル 501

“Captain Yoyo was a phenomenal guide who made the ride fun for everyone. The ride passes the iconic Glico Man which is a nice photo spot – if you want to get that night shot you’ll have to choose a later time slot!”

Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Tateyama, Nakaniikawa District, Toyama 930-1406, Japan

“It was a very breathtaking view that I’ve ever seen in my life. I went there on early July, and it was my first time to visit Tateyama Kurobe. Many people suggested me to go on spring instead so that I’ll still able to see the snow wall. But I got a chance to go on summer, and there’s still some snow on the top of the mountain. The weather is nice too, not too cold but kinda windy (around 12-16 degree celcius). It was my first snow experience since I live in a tropical country. I was very happy. Would like to come back again on spring to see the snow wall 😄🙏”

Cave Okinawa
4.3
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:00 AM

479-1 Ishikawa Kadekaru, Uruma, Okinawa 904-1114, Japan

“Definitely an off the beaten path experience and cool to check out if you're in Okinawa. Overall, it was relatively short, about 15-20 minutes to walk through, including all photo spots. The cave formations were interesting and highlighted by colorful lighting but nothing breathtakingly amazing. I have no disappointments but did expect more. I do recommend stopping by the local artisan selling hand made and fired pottery located a short distance from the exit of the cave. There is a short walk back to the entrance and parking area.”

Suntory Kyoto Brewery
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 09:30 AM

3 Chome-1-1 Choshi, Nagaokakyo, Kyoto 617-8530, Japan

“What a great experience and can’t believe that it’s free! Although the tour is in Japanese, they provide audio guide in multiple languages, so, no worry! Prior reservation is required and should be done somewhat in advance as it is full very fast. It is nice to see overall of beer production, and get to test variations of their specialty beer at the end of the tour. It’s a worthwhile mini tour from Kyoto city. They do provide free shuttle from train station as well. Recommend!”

Chikura Grotto
4.4
( 8 reviews )

Japan, 〒891-3702 Kagoshima, Kumage District, Minamitane, 南種子町

“Absolutely stunning landscape. We did a kayak tour with Ja-La Sora. It was amazing. 500m off the coast there are coral reefs with heaps of fish. Great for snorkelling”

山賊旅路
4.1
( 8 reviews ) $$
Closed until 11:00 AM

2127 Kurokawa, Aso, Kumamoto 869-2225, Japan

“After our visit to Mount Aso, we had a delightful and satisfying meal in the city of Aso, located in Kumamoto prefecture. This particular restaurant, which is approximately 1 km away from Aso station, specializes in local cuisine and is highly recommended. We were especially grateful to have found this place for lunch, as many other establishments in the area close by 2pm. Fortunately, this restaurant stays open until 3pm, allowing us to enjoy a delicious meal before continuing our journey.”

Kuhē Ryokan
4.6
( 8 reviews )

乙19 Yutagawa, Tsuruoka, Yamagata 997-0752, Japan

“A very clean and well-maintained inn. The response from all the employees was also wonderful. You can enjoy your meal in a private room while looking out at the beautiful courtyard. However, I had high expectations after hearing that the inn prides itself on its cuisine, but although the dishes are very elaborate and fashionable, the overall sweetness is emphasized, perhaps due to the taste of the Shonai region, and unfortunately I was disappointed. Although it didn't really suit my taste, the harvest fried rice was delicious. Funamori is a lineup that doesn't have much of a seasonal feel. Personally, I wonder if there will be sea squirts in December. The hot springs are sulfate springs, but the quality of the water is thin, and the baths are a bit narrow due to the temperature, while the river baths, which have a goldfish tank as a wall, are a little wider than the mountain baths, but neither has an open-air bath. The temperature is around 40℃ or so. There is also a family bath that you can use if it's available, and the temperature here is a little higher than the other baths, but it doesn't seem to reach 42 degrees Celsius. Everything except the family bath was modern, which may be a bit of a disappointment if you were looking for a nice atmosphere, but it was very well maintained and I felt comfortable.”

Street Kart Shibuya

“Absolutely incredible experience. Big shout-out to Ayaz our guide, super friendly, ensured our safety, got amazing photos all the way through. Hands down a life-changing experience. The absolute best way to see Shibuya and it's surrounding neighbourhoods. Even drove past Shibuya crossing what 3 times? Also whilst driving you're basically a tourist attraction for others as well! Everyone with a license should consider booking this!! Wish I could do it again.”

Koyodai Observatory
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 08:30 AM

Japan, 〒401-0320 Yamanashi, Minamitsuru District, Narusawa, 鳴沢8527

“Totally not worth it. There are other spots which give a better view of Mount Fuji and it’s free. The drive up there was stressful, the dirt road was narrow and it’s not easy to maneuver. It’s single lane with some parts wider to accommodate 2 cars. And after the stressful drive, the view wasn’t magnificent at all. We were then asked to pay 300 Yen each to go up one floor to the observatory deck. We didn’t, the group that hike up didn’t pay too. We both reckoned we won’t see much. So it’s totally not worth to drive up that stressful road for that view.”

Sawata No Hama

Oshika Family Travel Village Auto Camping Ground
4.3
( 8 reviews )

Komagamine-1-1 Ayukawahama, Ishinomaki, Miyagi 986-2523, Japan

“I used it for the first time. This time, I booked a free site for 2 nights and 3 days. We spent a relaxing time looking out at the Pacific Ocean. It was a beautiful lawn site with a good view, good facilities, and the showers were free to use, so it was comfortable. However, I gave the service 4 stars because the wifi hardly connected and I couldn't watch the videos I was looking forward to. In this day and age, I want wifi to be connected 😭 Even though it was a year-end visit, the staff greeted us with smiles, so we had a pleasant camping experience. Next time I'll try using a site that has wifi.”

西表島民宿マリウド

Closed until 03:00 PM

984-14 Uehara, Taketomi, Yaeyama District, Okinawa 907-1541, Japan

“Did not stay and wouldn’t want to. Rented a bike twice and staff are pretty cold, unattentive and clearly from out of town and not local. Seems to be all about the cash. 6000 yen a night per person for a minshuku is a joke and with that kind of moody service, it certainly is.”

“When accessing other islands, you'll take the ferry from this harbor. There are plenty of coin lockers, and you can also buy onigiri and other snacks at the shop.”
