Av. Circunvalación Agustín Yáñez 11, Moderna, 44190 Guadalajara, Jal., Mexico

“What an amazing experience. We had a great time learning the history of the brand. Taking the sunset train ride is the best option. The drinks really flow and I didn't want to be drunk before noon. We found an amazing restaurant in Tequila for lunch. The entertainment was amazing... we loved everything about this tour.”

KM 7 CDDTZM CHAN SACABA CARRETERA, 97784 Valladolid, Yuc., Mexico

“The rating is not accurate, food is average and there are much better cenotes to visit around here. Would not came here if not the day trip brought us here. However, it’s still pretty place!”

Trajineras Nativitas

Calle Hermenegildo galeana, C. del Mercado s/n, Xochimilco, 16090 CDMX, Mexico

“I couldn't recommend Xochimilco more, this is something that was almost completely unlike any of our other experiences in Mexico City. TL;DR at bottom. Let me try to paint the picture of my memories here. After leaving the dock in our communal boat, we set out on the canal, surrounded by a slew of other vibrantly colored and adorned boats. We're soon met by a slew of smaller boat vendors that ride up right beside us. After we politely wave off a man selling flower crowns we order some beers from another. While doing so, I feel our boat start rocking, and immediately I'm alarmed. I spin around to see that another craft has pulled along and someone has jumped in our boat. We were being boarded...by Mariachis??? Indeed another group on our boat had paid for a song and we were along for the very close quarters musical show. As we enjoyed speaking with the other passengers and people watching the other groups on their own unique boats, we started to notice something mildly disturbing on the horizon. The trees on a nearby island were all filled with ragged dolls. Barbies, troll, porcelain, raggedy Ann, they even had Santa! These were all very weather worn and missing various body parts. While I know now that this is the Island of the Dolls, I prefer to think that this is where Sid from the original Toy Story lives. This island marked the halfway point and we then turned around, just to do the whole crazy thing over again. I loved my time here, but that being said, I have some tips. 1.Unless you're in a very large group, don't pay for a private boat, it's expensive (500 pesos for an hour) and a great deal of the fun is meeting others. 2.If you're taking an Uber to this dock, you'll be bombarded with bikers telling your driver that the dock/road/canal is closed and will try to redirect you to other locations for boat rides. They're all lying, tell driver "Siempre Nativitas" whenever they try to redirect you. 3.The water in the canal is admittedly putrid, so for the love of your bowels do not get any food on the boat, food hygiene is not observed. Now quit reading my novel and get planning your trip to Xochimilco, you're going to have a blast. TL;DR: Fun boats (GET A COMMUNAL BOAT), Mariachi Pirates, Incredible Atmosphere, Spooky Doll Island and Don't Eat Canal Food and an Overall A+ experience.”

Santuario De Las Luciérnagas, Tlaxcala - Bosque Mágico

Priv. Juárez 5, Francisco Villa, 90280 Cdad. de Nanacamilpa, Tlax., Mexico

“The place is nice. But they already make so much profit from this that because of so many people who go, they are destroying the species. In my experience it is not worth paying the $350 to just see a few fireflies. I prefer that the place be protected than that this sanctuary continue to be destroyed by the greed of a few.”

Rancho Mi Chaparrita

Carretera higuera blanca km 1.3, 63734 Sayulita, Nay., Mexico

“Honestly the highlight of our trip, went with My best friend and my 7yr old daughter. The staff were all very friendly. The first day we did the morning horseback riding with Ricky and Jorge. My daughter Eternity was very nervous and shy. They took very good care of her. She absolutely loved it so much we has to go back. The second time we had Jorge helping with the horses, he Is great. My daughter even wanted to go fast! The second day we came back,we went on the ATVs also which My daughter requested to go on the ATV with Ricky as she liked him and felt comfortable with him (which says alot) We got the photos they took on both days, well worth it all. We are all extremely happy with the staff and services. Shout out to Danny too for helping us with the ATVs, he was very knowledgeable! Over all highly recommend!”

Carretera Piste - Yokdzonot, 97751 Pisté, Yuc., Mexico

“Somebody recommended here saying that here is smaller but more private and beautiful. It was a really good choice. There were not many people so we could enjoy as much as we want. The life jackets were provided. And the entrance of this place, restroom, garden, opened shower place, and everything was clean and tidy. We could pay the entrance fee with credit card, even though the staffs didn’t like it.”

Cenote Cristal

Km 223.8, Chetumal-Cancun, 77760 Tulum, Q.R., Mexico

“An amazing cenote with a cozy atmosphere, we only went to the Cristal one. It costs $150 per cenote, so $300 for both. The water is truly crystal clear! There are caves that you can dive into (with equipment), or just bring goggles and a snorkel to watch down in the divine water.”

Grutas De Xajha

42356 Hidalgo, Mexico

“This place is a hidden gem in the state of Hidalgo however It is not an easy task to get to it. I would recommend to get the same guide guy as I did. He has a little tour company in the city of Zimapán, it’s called Mochileros Sin Frontera he’s name is Elmer and it’s the safest and experienced guy for this tour. Take comfortable shoes If you don’t have hiking shoes I think tennis shoes be ok, do not carry heavy stuff in you back pack, remember you have to take plenty of water to drink. So you start really early in the morning from Zimapán you’ll drive a really nice scenic road down to the river, once you there you’ll take a little 20 minute boat ride, after that you’ll start walking about 2 hours, now it might not sound to much of a walk, but you’ll go up and down hills, through water and mud and go through a really amazing cave, but believe me it’s all worth it. You also have the option to camp there, if you have the time I really recommend to do that so you get to spend more time at the thermal water cavern. Just tell your tour guy and he can arrange someone to carry all the food and equipment you need to camp there. If you have kids and want to take them just make sure they are active and willing to walk. I recommend to do this tour during the summer so you take advantage of the summer hours. If you want to do it all in one day you’ll be back at the city of Zimapán by 9pm.”

Hotel Salto Del Meco - Huasteca Secreta

Carr. El Meco - El Salto, del Agua, Agricola, 79310 Col. el Meco, S.L.P., Mexico

“1. Bad customer service. The hotel is far from the city, so no internet once you are there. Called front desk to get information on how to get there as there is no information online and their local bus stations don’t show online as they are small towns(pueblitos) and not up-to-date with technology . Lady told us they don’t help with this and had an attitude, really pushing for the call to end . From previous hotels we’ve stayed at, at similar high prices, this is expected. Or at least for them to offer some type of guidance on the steps to get there. We spent around $200 dlls on taxis to get there as we had to figure on our own. On the way back, we were able to figure out Better options and spent around $80 to go back to San Luis airport. 2. Another bad customer service example. I asked front desk if they had bug spray on sale and lady said no. Next day we sat in their lobby to rest after a water activity and in their display I could see they sold bug repellent lotion. The lady could have offered the repellent lotion as an alternative. 3. This is more of a camping like experience for the price of an all-inclusive resort, but without the benefits of one. Food was not included except for continental breakfast (fruit and coffee). Everything else was overpriced and honestly not the best tasting food or alcoholic drinks, with very limited options. Food is something I look forward to when I go on trips, so this greatly affects my decision on this hotel. What was included in the price was an acitivity In the waterfall per day, so that was a plus. 4. The view was beautiful and there was a 200 steps stairs along the waterfall to get to the restaurant where all meals take place. That can be a plus or a negative based on how much exercise you’re expecting. 5. There is no room service. No telephones, tv, wi-fi, no mini fridge, no personal phone service or wi-fi either. They don’t allow food from outside. Their restaurant closed early, around 9/10pm. As a whole, beautiful and amazing scenery with many activities and the tour guides were amazing and made the experience for us. I also loved that it was mango season and there were mangoes all over. Customer service could greatly improve, specially for the prices they are charging and being that the hotel is hard to get to. Food could also improve as it is a great part of the experience. Our room was beautiful, had no windows or doors, and the fact that no repellent offered for sell to us when I asked made us want to leave after the first day. I had many itchy dots the next day and wasn’t able to sleep well due to all the mosquito swatting. We will definitely be coming back for the waterfall and beautiful views as right next to the hotel there is an independent activities spot to do all activities for reasonable prices. I doubt we would stay at this hotel again, but if we did, it wouldn’t be for more than a day. I would like to add, if traveling alone as women, please be careful as being that the hotel is far and out of internet, phone service boundaries, many things could happen with untrustworthy individuals. We heard a couple of stories from the taxi drivers. ( this being the reason we wanted the hotel to reccomend someone to pick us up)”
