“One of my favourite places to visit at any time of year. The last time I came here was 5 years ago during August, and there had been so much rainfall that flooding of the paths and fields had prevented me from walking around the lake. This time however, the weather was cold but relatively dry. It took us 2hrs to walk all the way around at a leisurely pace. Buttermere is beautiful whatever the time of year and I highly recommend visiting this gorgeous part of The Lake District.”

“Just finished the 12 day Thailand tour. Sophie was our leader and she was amazing! Super friendly and knowledgeable. If she didn’t know anything she would go out her way to find out. “Lovely few hours wandering the grounds and exploring the grounds. Didnt do the tunnel tour but had a lovely walk and read all the info boards etc. Lovely cafe with reasonably price snacks. Ample parking which was free today but normally ANPR controlled by private firm. Friendly staff. Will be visiting again and next time will book a tunnel tour ( bookable online online)”

“Lovely little place, The staff were all lovely too, it is a small place but the Kids were definitely entertained for about 1-2hours and they got to see animals you wouldn't normally and we witnessed the feeding of them and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable. Once we were done here we did go for a short walk to the playgrounds that are close which is great on a sunny day! It's a great place for a day out especially since you can re enter wild discovery if you want to once you're done exploring everything else”

“We booked a trip to surprise a friend who was already going for his birthday. We've never been on a coach trip before and weren't sure what to expect. The whole experience surpassed all our expectations. Parrys staff and drivers were wonderful. They kept you informed of everything and were very streamlined. The coaches themselves were super clean and were way better than we imagined. Each passenger had their own entertainment system on the headrest in front, showing films, TV shows, games, photos, navigation, and live dash cam. We were on an overnight trip to see the illuminations at Blackpool, with a stop off en route at Chester for the Christmas Market and a stop off on the way back at Liverpool. The time allowed at each of the stop offs we felt were just right. We had 3 hours to see the cities, visit the markets, grab lunch, and sample the gluhwein!!.. all in all a fantastic time with a fantastic operator.. would defo book another. (Oh, in case you're wondering, our group is early 50's.. we weren't the youngest.. 😀)”

We had a wonderful meal at the Bath Arms which is only about a mile away by foot but route not possible as security at gate. An alternative lovely 2 mile bike ride possible though - driving route quite a bit further.”

“Definitely go. You will need walking boots. It is a straight forward walk that any walker can do, there is a small scramble but nothing to worry about. When you get to the water it is a little surreal because you are at land height but at the top of a waterfall. Good views from the start and if you want there's a cave system half way up you can visit. It's a really good day out.”

I particularly enjoyed the range of activities offered in the vincinity of the holiday park. Whether it was surfing lessons on the beach or relaxing on Watergate Bay Beach, there was never a dull moment. The on-site cafe served delicious food, The kids had many Pizzas and we had Pulled beef nachos and a Thai red curry. It was very nice. The staff made me feel right at home. Exploring the nearby attractions was a highlight of my stay. From the charming villages to the beautiful hiking trails, there was always something new to discover. The biggest highlight is the amount of beautiful beaches nearby. Overall, Watergate Bay Holiday Park provided a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, making it a memorable getaway that I would highly recommend.”

“We've been here numerous times now and have never been disappointed. The camp site , in fact the whole site is incredibly well kept. Everything from the toilets to the fields to the on site facilities are always pristine. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly and there is always a nice warm atmosphere. The bar and food prices are more than reasonable. I can highly recommend Hooton Lodge for a camping trip, or to host your own party or event. It really is one on its own, and if that's not enough, they have an onsite secure play area along with rides and attractions. for the kids. They've always got something going on to keep you entertained.”

“The entrance to the site is pot holed under the bridge there is a steel plate over pot holes. Your likely to slash the side wall on your car tyres. They quite obviously don't care about customers to the site. Shame on six arches for allowing the pot holed entrance. They take your money 💷 but don't maintain the entrance to the site. 1 Star 🌟 on that basis”

We went on the Floriade and Tulips of Holland 4 day tour to celebrate our dad's 70th birthday and thanks to Sona Tours, we have created some special memories that we will always cherish. The food and hotel choices were great. The guide service and driver service were on point, always thinking about us and going the extra mile to keep us entertained. The weather turned out to be great for an added bonus so we could enjoy the Tulips. There were also a lot of free extras thrown in as we had time to do additional excursions in addition to the itinerary. We also had time to ourselves for personal shopping.
