All the sundaes qnd shakes pictured look so yummy. And there is option to build your own. There are so many candies, so many to choose from. From the tride and true staples, candies your grandparents will appreciate, the nostalgic hearted people, the fancy chocolates for the chocolate lover, the weird and unusual for the weird and unusual, etc. I can't wait to bring my girls here.”

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The outside doesn't look like much, but what's on the inside is what counts. “This is a very shady company. On the website I found a puzzle for my wife. There was a button that said "Click here to see the sale price." When I clicked, a large box popped up with a price in giant font about 2/3 the regular price. But the small print said that this was the price for some magnifying glass and by clicking OK, it got added to my cart. Unaware of their sneak-in-basket tactics, I decide to buy 3 puzzles instead of 2 because of the sale price I thought I had. They wouldn't have fooled me except that these were gifts from my wife and I could hear her coming down the hall, so I finished things up in a hurry. When I later saw the charge, it was almost double what I expected because there was no sale price for the puzzles AND the stupid magnifying glass was added. Their button that said "click here for the sale price" was a lie. There was no sale price. It was just a trick to sneak something extra into your cart. If you shop here, don't turn your back on them and count your fingers when you're done. If you need more proof of their dishonesty, now that they have my e-mail address, I'm still getting spammed a year later in spite of unsubscribing. I suspect that clicking "unsubscribe" does nothing except tell them that this is an active e-mail address. The "unsubscribe" button is also a lie. Did I complain to them? Yes. You can read the other 1-star reviews to find out how they deal with complaints. They're oh so willing to make things right....you just have to jump through a bunch of hoops for them first, the hourly wage for which will work out to about 10 cents. They're arrogant and condescending and treat you like an idiot. You can hear their eyes rolling over the phone and over the internet.”

“I was killing time and stopped in Acme Comics to fulfill my curiosity because I'd never been inside a comic book store before. Jermaine was super friendly and informative. Let me tell you, this store did not disappoint. From new comics to vintage and everything in between, there was nothing lacking in this space! My mom said it reminded her of when she could go to the store and by 12 cent comics. Jermaine shared that the store had been there for 40 years! It was cool to know that I'd been able to patronize such an establishment! I hope they continue to thrive for 40 more.”

They have a great collection of games, some rare, some hard to find, the prices are fair and they offer a layaway plan. I found a few games that I want and will go back to get them. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they will ask you to read the store policy, I recommend you read the return policy. I went back the same day a few hours later and bought a game I regretted not buying the first time around.”

“It’s a sensory overload every time we walk in. The staff is great and helpful. I find something little each time we go and so does my husband. But for the sheer volume of toys and collectibles, I’m shocked we don’t walk out with more. It’s an old historical building so there’s a musty smell I didn’t notice last time. Perhaps it’s from the heating being turned on instead of a/c this time. Hubby said he noticed it last time, which is surprising because I’m usually so sensitive to smells I notice them when nobody else does. There is just so much to look at and there are so few exciting toy stores anywhere now. We drive an hour and a half to get here and we won’t stop coming. We do more looking than buying and honestly that’s worth the trip, but we know that doesn’t keep them in business. Sorry, we will keep trying to find more to buy and support you guys. It’s worth the trip either way, just for the excitement of looking and hoping to find something. Sometimes the hunt is more fun than buying. And if you are a pop collector they have a ton to look at with reasonable prices and even some pricier ones in the cases.”

“My 10 year old son loves to play with anything that had a motor. This is a wonderful place for him to do that. There is a good assortment of tracks to drive on; large indoor course, indoor mini and standard rock crawler courses, with several outside courses as well. When things break, the attached store has a wide selection of parts and a knowledgeable staff to help. There are stations near the indoor track for charging and repairs/upgrades. The staff is always willing and able to help solve your problems. There are beverages and snacks available for purchase, and you can bring in or order food. No food in the indoor track”

“Had a great time checking out The Novel Neighbor. They were utterly packed two days before Christmas, and the store is a narrow labyrinthine place, so it was a bit claustrophobic. Their selection is wonderful, and they have a ton of non-book items, from tea to dishtowels, board games to soaps. I picked up some enamel pins for my bookbag and an item for a white elephant gift exchange. The staff were just wonderful, so personable, taking the time to visit with each person and help anyone who needed it.”

My husband threw his black coffee out as soon as we hit the door and I ordered a small chai latte that was like a cup of LAVA. It was so damn hot It burned my tongue and by the time I could taste it, the cup was 1/2 empty because it was mostly foam. The Chai Latte was also FLAVORLESS and tasted like warm water with a splash of milk. BAM you need to FIRE the 2 kids in JOE MUGGS and get real Baristas, then you would be the Best Book store ever.”
