Wasdale National Trust Campsite
4.7
( 16 reviews )

Wasdale Head, Seascale CA20 1EX, United Kingdom

“Camped for one freezing November night during a short backpacking trip. The site was perfect: welcoming staff, nice little shop but the facilities: oh my! Spotless washrooms, heated floors, lovely hot showers and a most welcome drying room. Nice grassy area for tents, very slight slope, but not an issue. Views to die for. The whole site is a credit to the NT and the local staff.”

Closed until 04:00 PM

Hazelwood Holiday Park, Warren Rd, Dawlish Warren, Dawlish EX7 0PF, United Kingdom

“We had a great stay at Hazelwood holiday park. It was lovely and quiet, we had a hot tub which was a added bonus. The staff were really friendly, chip shop and club house, (which is dog friendly)and a shop all on site. It was walking distance to the beach, restaurants, bars and the train station. Would definitely recommend it and hopefully go again next year.”

Brighton
4.1
( 10 reviews ) $$

Queens Rd, Brighton and Hove, Brighton BN1 3XP, United Kingdom

“Brighton station is served by Thameslink Southern and Gatwick express trains. With services going to Croydon, Gatwick Airport, Portsmouth Harbour and many other destinations too. This station is always busy especially when Brighton Fc have played and any events taking place. There are eight platforms here and disabled access is available here. There are toilets coffee shops and M&S all inside the station. The platforms are long and the station was tidy. Lots of ticket barriers to use here but can get so busy anytime of the day.”

You can find accessible ticket machines near the station entrance by the ticket office. There's also a coffee shop and a convenience store at the entrance. Inside the station, you'll find toilet facilities. St. Mary Redcliffe Church is just a short walk away.”

Kettering Railway Station
4.2
( 8 reviews )

Station Rd, Kettering NN15 7HJ, United Kingdom

“The station was great. A nice little station tucked away in the fields of England. There were no problems with staff and they were very nice. Apparently, the station used to have a ginger cat who would stay around the station called gingy. The cat died in 2007. The station had great design, and the waiting room was clean and quiet. A nice place to stop at if you are ever on a train going by.”

Marylebone

( 10 reviews ) $$

Melcombe Pl, London NW1 6JJ, United Kingdom

“Not one of the busiest or best looking stations, but it is efficient, clean and has good facilities.”

Gatwick Airport
3.8
( 16 reviews )

London Gatwick Airport, South Terminal, Gatwick Airport station RH6 0RD, United Kingdom

“Excellent experience. I was very unwell when I had to travel and the staff were fantastic, I needed a wheel chair to even get to the gate and was presented with a chaperone for the duration of my wait time right up to the point of boarding the aircraft. The staff at this airport on this day have been as I said excellent. Thank you Gatwick Airport.”

Shrewsbury
4.3
( 8 reviews )

station, Castle Foregate, Shrewsbury SY1 2DQ, United Kingdom

“This was a beautiful station for both arrival and departure, set in a historic building with a vintage design all around! The departure boards keep times updated, platforms are well sized for trains and staff were readily available. Stairs lead properly out to the exit through subway, signs help navigate and cleanliness had been enforced!”

Lancaster

4.3
( 10 reviews ) $$

Meeting House Ln, Lancaster LA1 5NW, United Kingdom

“This was a great station for both arrival and departure, having well-sized platforms for trains running from or towards Skipton that stayed for a reasonable amount of time! The name signs are modernised throughout and the station has an old design, creating an intriguing feel. Rooftops making for proper shelter are well-designed too and navigation is easy, with clear signs. The entrance building is accessible and the bridge is a solid accessory, while departure boards were fully up-to-date and cleanliness had been maintained!”
