“Unfortunately, I have to take off two stars given previously.. I am coming to this gym 6 days a week and more and more facing very inconvenient ( for me) situations involving the kids.. David Lloyd is family oriented gym and I appreciate it but the parents should learn on how to share the space with other people without being a bothersome. Yesterday AGAIN , upstairs ,there was a man with 4( !!!!) boys different ages running around and playing on several gym devices ( some were acting very dangerous).. nobody from staff said a word … Today in the changing room , a child was screaming like a hell and this happened almost every day… Parents are not taking a responsibility for their kids behaving .. Another example is when fathers are taking their 5-7 y.o daughters to the changing facility where most of us are walking nude , put their girls on the bench in the millet and undress them .. we have several dressing rooms available so why not use it ?! I am not a child free person but my time at the gym is the only time I can relax and I don’t want to feel like I am in kindergarten..This gym is nearby to my house but I will not extend my membership and will look for a more adult oriented Gym in the area…”

“I have been a member of David Lloyd for nearly 15 years and enthusiastically brought my wife to the David Lloyd in Capelle to register, as she was keen to get back into shape after her pregnancy. After arranging a baby sitter for a couple of hours, we went to the reception to ask for assistance to register her. The lady told us nobody was available and that we should wait. Under time pressure, we asked if she could at least get us an indication of how long we would need to wait. She refused and instead suggested my wife pay the 30 euro entrance fee to get in. We found this unacceptable and asked for the manger. Eventually the manager, Suzanne van Houwelingen, came to us reluctantly and with an offensive tone asked what the problem was. We didn't have a chance to explain however as she handed us immediately back to the desk staff and disappeared back into her office. A young staff member, Stefan, who had witnessed all of this then took charge to lead us into the gym and professionally and apologetically resolved to help my wife sign on. He acted exactly how his experienced superior should have and I believe what David Lloyd stands for in terms of customer service. Overall would give the gym 3 out of 5 stars, as it has some good facilities but lacks in service and cleanliness.”

“Always have a problem regarding the cancellation, this place keeps sending invoices and refers to a agreement terms when you complain. Your staff is not qualified to give explanation about that terms, also suggests wrong subscription if I have problems later. As a gym, the only reason I was going is it was close to my place, otherwise it’s ridiculous, wet sauna broken over a year, many broken equipment that is not fixed on a timely manner and lack of crucial equipment like incline bench and straight bar for pull-ups. This is not a place if you are going to workout properly. Totally disappointed how they run business, -1 customer .”
