“A good hotel in a very convenient location. The views from every room are great (the harbour) and the breakfast is very good quality and there is a massive selection. Only stayed for the location - parking is free but not obvious...just go through the entrance barrier then through another barrier into the pay and display car park...don't pay..you will be given a ticket for your windscreen in reception It's not quite 5 star but it's not trying to be either. Rooms are tidy and functional. Make sure you walk on the walkway through the site, a grumpy chef shouted across the car park at me to do so when no cars were anywhere to be seen. Again walkway not explained or obvious from the reception to the car park. Didn't enjoy being shouted at by a grumpy employee.”

“We have used Kenwood travel for years, and I’ve sent family members and friends their way on many occasions. Sadly, this time will be our last booking with them. I booked a trip to Abu Dhabi for this coming March ‘24, a few months ago I added a trip to the Maldives to follow. The holiday came in just below £10,000. I went back to Kenwood to see if we could add an extra day in the Maldives and reduce one day in Abu Dhabi. I was given a price but wasn’t impressed with the extremely high admin fee for these changes (amazing how there wasn’t one when it came to them increasing out holiday). After receiving the quote I then made contact with the advisor Ali via the telephone, who I’d been dealing with previously. She seemed annoyed that I’d come back to make another change to our booking , and told me how busy they all are and how much work they have to do to change this. Funny how they can be so nice and kind when they are making an extra £6000 but not when it comes to a small change that makes them soooo much more work. I made a complaint via their customer service team and spoke with a manager who advised they would reduce the admin fees down. I advised him to go ahead with the change which should have cost us £475. I then chased Ali twice to see if this had been changed and she then came back to me to say that the price had now gone up to £849. I’d given them the go ahead when the lower price was in place but their lack of communication and response meant this had ‘apparently’ increased. In real terms this should be their responsibility to cover, and not mine. I’d done my part. Very disappointing and at a time we should feel excited about this trip, this experience has put a huge downer on it. I will not be using Kenwood again in future and I will be advising others not to go their way. It’s such a shame because our previous relationship was great and this had ruined it for us.”

It probably shows my age but I like to talk to people especially when I am parting with large sums of money and I would urge you to do the same. You can of course read up on all the terms and conditions, small print etc but sometimes need to be able to read between the lines. I am really pleased I went in the Walsall store to research my holiday as they gave me far more information than what you could readily obtain from the App. Seeking alternative options was also so much easier.”

“Lovely little accomodation . Over looking the harbour. Well equipped kitchen. All areas were cleaned everyday. Fresh towels every day and beds were changed almost every other day . Lovely big verranda. our only issue was being near the heavy ,solid front door, which other guests allowed to slam day and night . Pool was cleaned everyorning. Found all staff to be very cheerful and helpful . Would definitely return .”
