“The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because of the narrow roads for larger RV's. Experienced drivers no problem or class B and smaller class c's. We had to dump our tanks and this park was open on Sunday's. Staff was friendly, $15 non-guest fee for RV dump. Sites were $50/night in season (now) with very limited availability. Close to entrance/exit, clean grounds, secluded RV sites, and dump site was off the main road so we were not hurried by others. Potable, non-potable and dump valve are easily accessible. Highly recommend! Easy access to park and on weekend the traffic was very light.”

“Our narrator Grace was great.We would not recommend this for the value unless you are staying at the north end and want to travel to sight see in the congested areas or you are staying in the south end and want to travel to Smathers beach. It is a 90 minute ride with 13 stops. I think they should eliminate some of the motel stops or add more sightseeing stops. Trolley does run every 30 minutes but for sure need a plan if you’re going to get your moneys worth.”

“Just a half hour from Tallahassee heading eastbound and this rest area is one of Florida's better ones. I like that there are not only separate areas for cars and trucks, but there is a second loop of "picnic areas" that are even further back from the road. Trees here are quite tall so if you're looking to get a nap in the shade, this is possible. Restrooms, vending machines, picnic tables, a payphone and a spot to walk your dog. This is good!”

“(November 1, 2023 till November 26, 2023) Horrible stay... I’d like to start off by saying... this Campground is in Waldo, Fl. not Gainesville, Fl... my hubby called this place and helped get our family a spot as I was having a shingles outbreak the whole time there. We arrive and get told in the first 10 minutes in the office that our 22 year old son that is special needs, wheelchair bound was being considered as a child and could never be left alone or allowed to venture without us and for the most part we understand but it felt very aggressively said from a over daring manager that could have found a nicer way to speak on it. We get to our site and I tried to tell her a few things about us because she needed to know a few things and she didn’t even look at me as she says... if you have anything to say to me... leave it in a review... so, here we are... was planning on staying 4 to 6 months due to taking care of Dr. appointments for our son. We stayed 26 days... in that second week there we have the assistant manager staying next to us and her and her husband sitting next to our front bedroom window sitting in there golf cart for over an hour even after I found out they had been sitting there. We drove away from there that day because of it. But, I’m upset because in that time period I was paying bills and using that time to talk family talk... why so close and then a few days later we hear pounding on her front door, the other neighbor and her stood out by her door talking about us for over 45 minutes, ask me how we know... that was the last day our son had his window open... he heard everything... as a mother... I’m appalled... trailers are to close together and the manager has favorites... you can tell... my husband said... the men’s bathhouse water was to cold... used it once. There’s a lot of rules there but only half of them being done... we woke up one morning to the neighbors parked right in front of our driveway space... then when calling the office and them having to move the truck they look at our trailer... said a few things and could never be nice. This place is trash, we can pick our neighbors...”

“Kind of out of the way in Davenport, this huge 2 story building has a cornucopia of Central Florida attractions, local history, and jelly, jam, popcorn, orange juice, and numerous other items produced in the immediate area. I had to meet my VA Service Officer there, he drove from Bartow Florida to make it easy for Veterans to meet closer to their home. The attendant was friendly and knowledgeable. She even gave us a local grown orange juice that was the best I ever had.”

“For our first experience at an RV park and getting into the RV lifestyle, my husband and I could not have picked a better place to stay! We even feel now we may have set the bar too high for the first park, as a lot of the ones we’ve come across now just can’t compete, especially with the family feel. We were here for several months and want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Laura for being so welcoming and accommodating throughout our whole stay. We would pop into the office just to chat and she always genuinely cared about our stay and experience. When we first came to check out the park before booking, she even took us on a tour and from day one made us feel like family. I can say for sure that we will be back, partially just to see Laura and all of the wonderful people at the park. The girls at the office, Tiffanie, Seven, and Chloe, were always friendly and helpful with anything we needed, like extending our stay. We’ll miss our conversations with everyone, including rangers Bill, Wayne, and Matt. They always made our day! Whenever they saw us they would check in and see how our trip was going and what our plans were. By the time we left, everyone felt like FAMILY and it was almost sad to leave! We truly miss seeing everyone. This place quickly felt like home in the time that we were here. The park itself is also beautiful and well maintained. The sites are all spacious, even the standard ones, and are all full hookup. They conveniently have 2 water spigots for each site which we REALLY MISS. Even though some of the spots are grass, they are all level and have great drainage, even during a small hurricane. They have two beautiful and pristine pools for guests, which we very much enjoyed in the summer. They have a really great laundry room with plenty of machines to accommodate multiple people doing laundry at once. All the facilities, including the bath houses, are always very well kept and clean. We very much recommend renting a golf cart and taking the nature trail! It was recommended to us by some of their other residents, and we’re so happy we did it. A lot of parks say “walking trail” and most are disappointing, but Sanlan has a great trail that’s quite long with some amazing views and a beautiful butterfly garden that made for a perfect little nature escape for the day. THANK YOU TO ALL OUR SANLAN FAMILY! We can’t wait to come back and see you all again at our “home” park!”

What made this campground so wonderful was the staff. I didn't get their names but both ladies were very friendly. We usually stay on the island but I quick bike ride over the bridge and we were right at the beach.”
