Top 5 Travel & Tours in Singapore

Kranji War Memorial
4.6
( 8 reviews )

9 Woodlands Rd, Singapore 738656

“The Kranji War Memorial is a calm and tranquil repose atop a small hillock with an expansive view of the surrounding industries and factories so ubiquitous in Kranji. It's smaller than what I expected, but still retains an air of reverence and and reservation. I guess it can be quite peaceful... if the electric generators aren't working in the background!!”

“This was my first trip to Singapore and my friend there suggested I take a duck tour. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend. Here’s some information on the process. I recommend you buy a ticket in advance. I rode on a Saturday (which is busier). I showed up at 9:15am and the first available seat was 1pm. I sat in the back row which was close to the engine. It was fairly loud but I could still hear the tour guide well. There were no engine exhaust fumes to bother anyone so that was good. The boat is an old Vietnamese military vehicle which makes it more interesting. The boat leaves the station and drives on the streets for about 10 minutes before entering the water. Total trip just under one hour. The kids really like when the boat splashed into the water, I did not get wet. I thought it would be hot when on the water but there was a steady breeze which made it comfortable. The tour guide shared history and facts about Singapore which I enjoyed as I was a first time visitor. Highly recommend the trip as you tour the marina and see many of the recognizable buildings in Singapore there.”

42 Imbiah Rd, Singapore 099701

“Rode my first ever cable car here. I'll be honest, it wasn't as exciting as I was wanting it to be. You just get a beautiful view from a very high place. The other places around the cable cars like the beach, markets, concerts were honestly more exciting. Kind of sad that I didn't get to enjoy those just to ride the cable cars. But its not that bad. You get an experience and very amazing pictures. The ticketing process was very smooth. They had multiple options with which you can get a very good discount with. The staff were all very nice and helpful. They helped us get a smooth ride. There are many other places around. Convenience stores, restaurants, malls and so much more. I recommend going after noon. If you want to ride the cable cars, afternoon or sunset is definitely the best time.”

3 Temasek Boulevard, #01-K8, Tower 2 Suntec City, Singapore 038983

“I had an amazing experience taking the Big Bus tour in Singapore! To ensure a seamless journey, I conveniently purchased my ticket online and arrived at their office located at 3 Temasek Boulevard, Suntec City Convention Centre before their opening time at 9 am. Boarding the first bus on the Yellow Route (City route), I embarked on a picturesque journey that included iconic sights like Marina Bay Sands, Clarke Quay, Orchard, and Raffles Hotel. The entire route took approximately 80 minutes, allowing me to soak in the city's vibrant atmosphere. Afterward, I indulged in a leisurely lunch and enjoyed some shopping at Suntec City, seeking respite from the scorching sun. When the time was right, I hopped on the late afternoon bus for the Red Route (history/culture route), which covered captivating areas such as Little India, Kampong Glam, and Chinatown. Despite encountering a thunderstorm during the latter half of the tour, it didn't dampen my spirits. After all, I was on vacation, and nothing could spoil my enjoyment!”

“Monica, a very friendly lady who was very helpful to us, gave us a lot of helpful information and tips. We only had two days for sightseeing. If you can walk reasonably well, the metro and buses with the day pass are highly recommended. Itinerary to visit includes: Little India, Chinatown and the Marina Bay area. An absolute must is a visit to Marina Bay (by metro) in the evening with various night laser light shows, unforgettable impressions, excellent! THANK YOU SINGAPORE”

Allianz Assistance Singapore (travel Insurance)

79 Robinson Rd, #09-01, Singapore 068897

“Horrible customer service, this should deserve 0 stars. Purchased a family insurance for my family for our upcoming trip to Huahin, Thailand. Upon purchase of the insurance, the policy specifies the holder needs to be an ordinary resident. I was in between jobs and currently was not holding a long term visit pass, asked for clarification on this the 2nd of January. No reply within 3 business days or any reply at all for that matter. The day of our departure on 10 January I try call again to verify. After finally getting through the queue they matter of factly inform me that I am not covered because I am not an ordinary resident and the policy is invalid, mind you I have been living for more than 3 years in SG at this point. Nevermind my wife and child who are both long term passes holders, the policy could not be transferred to them. This whole ordeal left us in a scuttle to find another insurance last minute and Allianz offered no alternative except the usual corporate speak of "we will reimburse you in 14 days". So much for giving them a free loan! As solution to our problem we found an alternative provider that does not have this strange resident clause and atleast was responsive to our questions.”

Dhoby Ghaut Mrt Station (ns24)
4.4
( 8 reviews )

11 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238826

“Been using Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station literally for decades starting with the North South Line (red), North East Line (purple), and conveniently for me the Circle Line (yellow). Some people say it is complicated but there are signs all over, and if in doubt ask any of the friendly MRT staff for assistance. As a frequent user of the Circle Line with Dhoby Ghaut being the first station (CC1) going towards Harbourfront direction, people sometimes get confused whether the train on Platform A goes the same stations and direction as Platform B - the answer is yes so you can hop on whichever platform arrives first. The North South Line is super convenient too because it connects to town (eg Orchard MRT just two stops away). Even Dhoby Ghaut is considered town area with shopping malls like Plaza Singapura nearby.”
