Top 5 Travel & Tours in Colombia

Caminatas Ecológicas Bogotá

Cl. 137 #91-97, Bogotá, Colombia

“These guys are amazing, they keep their word, which is the most important. When they say they will make a stop, or what the tour includes, it is exactly as they said. The price is good for the attention and service. They are very professional, funny, nice, and most importantly, responsible. It is clear they have the experience, the right objectives, and not just self interested. I went to Bosque del Neblina which was beautiful and energetic, and they also took fotos of us, which I really liked because my camera was broken. I highly recommend them especially if you are coming to visit Colombia and need someone you can trust.”

“What a wonderful visit to a coffee farm. The attention was very good from the moment we arrived, and our English speaking tour guide, Anderson, did a great job at describing everything about the farm with great detail and great eloquence. It was a super fun experience to learn about the coffee making process and about the farm life. The arepas given at the end of the tour were very good, and the drinks served very refreshing. Being able to try the coffee at the end was very enjoyable. Highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area.”

Angel Falls Waterfall

Dg. 30 #35-14, Envigado, Antioquia, Colombia

“BRU-TAL! It is an amazingly beautiful path or ancient route with a difficulty that is not suitable for all audiences. It is necessary to master oneself in the natural environment and in the ascent and descent of mountains and rivers (practically climbing and rappelling). It can be very dangerous and it is a place that is very difficult to carry out a rescue (be very careful). The entire path is signposted but there are different sections that cause a lot of doubt, so it is advisable to go with a map already downloaded previously and following the route (Wikiloc advisable). This would be for adventurers like me, with some experience in the natural environment. It is really advisable to go with a local guide and a larger group. You leave from sandbanks and reach the jet of the bells, from there you take a steep lane to the left, with a fairly significant inclination that will take you to the Angel Falls mountain. Enjoy the path because it is beautiful, always with the utmost concern, since a fall there can be fatal. You can also get there through the cathedral, Pablo Escobar's prison, but you may get confused, as some of the information signs are upside down or misinterpreted. This access is much less complex, since you save the climb along the course of the River, from Arenales. As for other reviews from other users, we have not felt fear or feeling of being robbed at any time. We have spent two days in Arenales, and its people have helped us, indicated and offered their best help. From older people to young people native to the area. In our case, we were only two people and it became night, we were a little scared but with the help and collaboration we ended up reaching a successful conclusion. You have to be careful with the bus departure from above the Cathedral, if you miss it (it leaves between 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.), you will have to walk down more than 7 km, crazy after spending hours going up half the way. mountain and river. In our case we lost it, but there were two local men from the area who offered to take us off for free, with whom we became friends, how nice it was to meet such good people. It is a totally recommended place, where you will live some of the experiences of your life, the photos and videos do not show the quality of the place, you can only come to savor it. Leave the place cleaner than how you found it, collaborate by removing dirt and remains left by humans. If we want it to continue to be a place with little human impact, do your bit.”

“Wonderful spot to take a date or spend a day with other couples. Excellent service with a view! Ordered the fish platter and it was excellent. The day trip side had a nice dance area with dance music playing nice and loud. The VIP side was a little quieter but had a cozy little dance and lounge area. Get the VIP for a little bit extra money and enjoy the view.”
