Top 5 Travel & Tours in Pennsylvania

Aaa Buggy Rides
4.6
( 16 reviews )

3461 Old Philadelphia Pike, Ronks, PA 17572, United States

“I did a lot of research on different buggy rides and found this one to be the best one in the area according to google reviews. Our ride was 35 minutes long and the only disappointment I found was there wasn’t any other options. I remember reading that there was other options where you can take a tour of a farm etc. go thru a covered bridge etc. I did not find that available at the time of my tour. Even with that, I enjoyed my 35 minute ride. It consisted of riding through Amish country briefly stopping at a home/ farm to purchase snacks and drinks . So bring dollars so you can support the Amish family kids selling the snacks . If nothing else it was just so cute to see two brothers run out , one barefoot to the wagon to sell us whoopie pies etc. Our tour guide was very informative and entertaining at the same time. I just found it interesting to be in a buggy driving down the street a street in Lancaster. How unique is that? Highly recommend this tour.”

Gettysburg Tour Center
4.6
( 8 reviews )

778 Baltimore St, Gettysburg, PA 17325, United States

“The double decker bus tour was well worth the money for the tickets! We greatly enjoyed getting a detailed tour of the town and battlefield by a professional tour guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable! The bus tour is probably the best way to understand and see all the history of Gettysburg. There was a bathroom stop at the halfway point and there was also another stop where you could get out and take pictures at the Pennsylvania monument, which was amazing to see!”

Pettecote Junction Campground

Closed until 02:00 PM

400 Beach Rd, Cedar Run, PA 17727, United States

“Outstanding Campground! Owners Doug & Jill keep the campground immaculate and well organized. Truly a FAMILY atmosphere. Rules are enforced which is something a lot of other campgrounds overlook so when you spend your time here, you don't have to worry about someone speeding through the campground posing a threat to children playing or adults walking around. Safety is a main concern. It also creates a better class of Campers when rules are kept and this is a major reason why we spend at least 2 weeks per year here. We are already booked for 2024 and can't wait! Rail trail on one side of the campground and Pine Creek on the other! Only 30 minutes to Wellsboro and there are numerous Restaurants and Little Pine State Park nearby! HIGHLY recommended to all! We love this place and it is our #1 place to camp!! Larry & Jane”

Spruce Lake Retreat

“I will definitely be coming again and I loved the ignite retreat. Had a lot of fun meeting kids from other churches too! Made some friends, great retreat for teens and youth groups. Lots of activities, laser tag was a blast. If you are at the gym and you want to go down to the main area with everything else I suggest walking, it takes 30 minutes as the camp is big but I enjoyed the walk with friends and youth leaders. I forget the singers name (blonde hair, played the guitar) but he was amazing and I enjoyed singing along for worship. Pastor Dave was great. He relates to the lesson and tells us a lot about his life. He taught me a lot. He also played basketball with us kids which was fun because he's a basketball guy. Each youth group had our own room to hang out and have group chats after lessons. The snack shop upstairs was super cheap and sold shirts. Upstairs had some games like ping pong, carpet ball, and foosball. The pavilion (it's an indoor one) was nice and I loved having meals in there. I'm super picky but they had a ton of breakfast options (one morning had pancakes, cereals, fruits, bagels, coffee, apple juice, and OJ). Dinner was walking tacos with steak as meat which was great. Lunch was ham and cheese sandwich. Only issue with food was the snack bar down by the hotels. Food was good, but ice cream over froze or something and a ton of people then ordered ice cream and it took an hour to get it so me and my friends missed the rock wall. My friends that had come last year said this had happened last year. Was a little disappointed that I missed out on other stuff on a trip that should've been 20 minutes. It was ok for me though because I might've wimped out on the rock wall but my friend was disappointed. Ok so I am already always disgusted sleeping in hotels but I hated sleeping in Carol Cottage. Even my friend who was ok with sleeping in hotels was like "ew it stinks" and we were too scared to shower. Beds weren't that bad but there was a weird stain on the sheets so I laid on a sleeping bag with my own blanket instead. The room wasn't very modern. Also all night the people upstairs were walking around and it was super loud like the floor was thin and it kept us up. Could also hear people talking on the other side of wall. I didn't shower but everyone who did said it was either hot or freezing water and you can't get an you can't get an in-between temperature. My friend said she thought she was getting boiled like a lobster. The guys stayed in a house and these was a brown splotch thing on the wall and they said it was like poop. Woke up early and went to the big hotel and sat in lobby. Complementary coffee was great and view from the deck was pretty. Gift shop was nice. Got little siblings gifts and a sweatshirt and other stuff. Gym was big, had rock wall, volleyball, basketball, 9 square, and different sports balls and flag football. upstairs had foosball, Nintendo, ping pong, carpet ball, and a chill area. There was a snack shop. Nature center has snakes and leopard geckos to hold. Taxidermys to look at and a touch section to feel cleaned claws and rocks and bones. In the winter they have tubing but, sadly, there wasn't enough snow. I think if the pond is fully frozen they ice skate but I'm not sure. It's okay there was still plenty of stuff to do and no reason to say your bored. I don't remember if I mentioned it but we did laser tag which was LIT, they had inflatables in the pavilion to hide behind. Would 1000% come back next year. Just don't want to wait an hour for ice cream or sleep in those rooms.”

“This hotel was conveniently located, clean and the staff was courteous and helpful.|The price was reasonable. The room was spacious and well set up. We wanted delivery pizza and the front desk woman gave us a great recommendation as well as a suggestion for a place for lunch the next day”

Arnold Palmer Regional Airport
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

148 Aviation Ln # 103, Latrobe, PA 15650, United States

“Tiny airport close to Pittsburgh, in the region of Latrobe. There’s only one big commercial airline company flying in and out of here, which is Spirit, and I believe it only flies to a few cities in Florida. There’s some sitting area for people waiting for their loved ones. If you’re hungry, there’s only one restaurant inside the facility and no convenience shop—at least I didn’t find any. Parking is free except for long term.”

Wilderness Travelers Rafting & Bike Tours

“The country we rode through is outstanding. I would ride the Needles section everyday if I could. Guides were jolly on the spot. All was smooth! Fine accommodations, especially ranch in the Badlands. Peaceful week!”

Hershey Trolley Works

101 Chocolate World Wy, Hershey, PA 17033, United States

“We took the shorter tour with the characters instead of the longer historical tour due to time constraints. I'm so glad we went on this tour versus the other one, as it was very entertaining and hilarious! The staff are very good at what they do, passionate and provide a good experience for all ages. Can't wait to go back and try the historical tour as well as the comical tour again. Side note: larger stature people might not do so well two to a seat.”

Mid day complimentary buffet had a very nice assortment of light fare. And I had a VERY good Bloody Mary. My wait for my flight was extremely pleasant”
