“This is also known as Bankapur Fort ..Firstly it is not like any safari type..And don’t go with Google Map..it will take you to the wrong location..After reaching Bakapura jus ask any local person about Fort..ಕೋಟೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿದೆ?..near bus station you will get the spot..if u park ur vehicle outside then u have to take a walk inside for 2-3 kms for better view.. Now this fort has Khilari Cattle Development Center in the middle..To feed these cattle they have grown Maze and other crops..which makes a natural habitat for Peacocks ..peacocks are not easily visible..we should get into the bushes..inside the fort there is an old Chalukya temple which also u can have a look..but not maintained well Overall it’s not a place which I expected ..good to spend couple of hours but not whole day..if u are planning then u can add nearby Guru Kanakadasaru Birth place..”Bada” jus 5km..which is good one to spend time with family or friends..”
