“Funkie Junkies, what a phenomenal place!!! My aunt was visiting from out of town over the weekend, we spent two days exploring - this place is HUGE and has so many hidden treasures!! My aunt and I left with lots of great stuff!!! And I went back today and got an original watercolor from a local artist. I highly recommend you stop in for a visit, make sure you have plenty of time, you won’t be disappointed! Oh, and don’t forget to visit their location in Port Charlotte!!”

“I was considering donating to this location but after reading all the terrible reviews regarding this person Bill (assistant manager) greeting you with such a negative attitude and sounds like sometimes a bit hostile. I think it’s safer to look for another organization to do my donating. This is truly disappointing. As a business owner myself I know first hand having a good staff representing my business and brand are key to the success of my business. I hope that after all these negative experiences your customers have had you have since then made better decisions on who you have representing your wonderful organization.”

“BUYER BEWARE OF MARKUP Some luxury items for appeal. The rest junk at a markup. Trying to take advantage of the rich elderly in the area who don’t plan to Google before making a purchase. Hey, can’t knock their hustle. As stated in all the other reviews, customer service is terrible and be aware of their return policy. Older manager Jeff with the somewhat hunched back doesn’t play well with others.”

“As a shopper the store is really nice. Lots of clothing. I had a bad experience at Platos closet and knew this place was owned by the same owner. I decided to give them a try at selling some unwanted clothes. I have a lot of I.N.C jeans from macys that I never worn, size 10. I have a huge lot of Zumba wear, 6 pairs of new leggings, and other workout capris, 6 pairs of bandnew rewash beach pants assorted colors, 2 off brand bags and one dooney and bourke black satchel that was in mint condition that I only used once retailed for 300.00 new. They only wanted to keep the dooney and bourke purse and I think 6 clothing items the 1st offer was 38.00, I told the sales lady that I would not let my d n b purse go for that and took it out of the bin. She went back to the computer and offered me 78.00 for the purse and clothing. I drove from psl and didn't feel like dealing with ebay. Both store seems to want to rip you off when selling your items. Platos closet kept a lot of my items and didn't pay me for them and now encore lowballed me on my items than changed their price when I said no. Check your inventory before you leave. Next time, I will just donate my clothes to someone in need. I will never return to Platos closet or encore again. Really sad how they try to take advantage of people.”
