The salmon & calamari were both delicious. Loved the beetroot salad. The iceberg was ok the cheese flavour was too strong for me. Overall it's a great restaurant. The food is tasty, clean & fresh ingredients. Would recommend”

“The foods are great, we love almost all that we ordered. From the prawn roll, I understand it is fried, but the prawn is a bit dry but still ok. Tom yum soup is the star for me, though it came only with 3 prawns (it’s mentioned on the menu), the soup is clear, very fresh and tangy. The garlic beef is also good, it came with the salad leaves. The crispy pork with Chinese broccoli and pak choy, we didn’t like the crispy pork as the meat smelled but the vegetables are good and still crunchy. The tofu with cashew is another star dish from vegan menu. The place is quite small, very small isle to walk but always busy. The servants are very friendly and warm, you will be greeted and served with smile. Overall, we enjoyed the foods and will obviously come again to try some other dishes.”

I like this type of Asian fusion restaurant in the sense that it doesn’t lose the authentic flavour of the food while being creative. Vegan options never disappoint us. “As a local and a regular patron of Steam for over a decade, I've witnessed its evolution, particularly with the recent change of ownership. It's disheartening to read some of the less favorable reviews, given the evident dedication of the new owners to culinary excellence and customer satisfaction. The restaurant, a jewel on the peninsula, now boasts a skilled male and female chef duo, overcoming the regional challenges in staffing. My recent visit was marked by the 'Banquet for Two.' Each dish that arrived was a testament to the chefs' expertise. A highlight was the beef jerky, a unique delicacy, I sampled from my partner's plate. Its exceptional taste is a nod to the owner's heritage, where jerky is a specialty. The personalised approach extended to my espresso martini, prepared just as I prefer. While my photos may not do justice to the culinary art due to the lighting, the buzzing atmosphere of locals savoring their meals spoke volumes. Our heartfelt thanks to the chefs and owners for rekindling our love for Steam with such a remarkable dining experience.”

“The place is very good. Although the food was also nice. But we ordered 2 curries and both were same! No difference in it and even when ordering it noone let us know about it. Was really disappointing just they added different ingredients in that gravy. Over all it was nice. Would surely go again because of its taste.”
