“If you want good service, patient staff both in the vape shop and the sweets area these are your guys. Honestly wish it was easier for me to get to because the vape guy knows what he’s on about, happy to have a convo with you and explain without making you feel like an inconvenience, and the same goes for the sweet shop area. My cousin and I couldn’t stop praising your service and even for a teenager he agreed you guys were amazing and so nice! We have said when we can we will be back because of the service and amazing selection.”

“Never had a bad experience from here before. Partner bought me a ps2 for Christmas, controller doesn’t work. Went back today at 5pm as it said online that the store is open till 5:30, staff member at the door refusing to let me in to exchange the controller. Other customers in the store having a very leisurely look around and yet still I wasn’t allowed in 30 minutes prior to closing time.”

“Bought iPad mini 6 which was fine. Then bought a Lenovo Miix 520 and had loads of problems. The system had not been updated so kept getting notifications that system not secure. Then keyboard/trackpad stopped working. Bluetooth dissapeared. Also, ‘f’ key keeps sticking on and when entering any text, I get ffffffffffffffff”

“We had a terrific experience at this branch in Walsall on 23/01/24 exchanging some old games and consoles that had just been sitting around in boxes for a few years. Isaac, my fella’s youngest son, had played his PS4 incessantly for 5 years until it gave up the ghost a couple of weeks ago, which was quite obviously ‘the end of the world’ for any sane 12 year old… So, being a bit short of cash after Xmas, we decided to gather around 15 old PS, Xbox and Wii games together, along with an old xbox and controller etc and take them to CEX to see how much we could get against a refurbed PS5, along with some of Isaac’s Xmas and saved pocket money. We were fortunate enough to be assisted by the lovely, and very handsome, Anthony, a knowledgeable member of staff who was extremely helpful and empathetic to Isaac’s woes. Anthony gave us an AMAZING deal on the bundle we took in, offering us a whopping £242 against a digital PS5 (in stock with a two-year warranty!) priced at £360. Isaac was obviously overjoyed at this deal and only had to put in £120 of his hard-saved cash to secure a shiny new (refurbed) console. Chuffed to bits, he was…. The staff in there were all fantastic and worked really hard to get him the very best deal possible, and I wish I could mention them all by name but I only caught Anthony’s name, and he really was super-fantastic, really a great (and very cool) guy!! There were another two male colleagues who helped a lot, and two gorgeous ladies who went above and beyond to put a smile on Isaac’s face. It’s worth popping down just to see Anthony’s fabulous beard, which is very impressive on its own, and also to see all the great deals they have in store. All in all, we had a great experience, and the staff really are a credit to the company. They should probably all have a pay rise actually, they really are that great and they definitely deserve it. I can recommend this shop and will definitely be going back, even if it’s just to drop in some doughnuts as a thank you. An excellent experience all round xxx”

Unfortunately, we couldn't find it on the shelves, but I came across a PS2 game that piqued my interest, so I took it to the counter to assess the quality of the establishment. I received immediate assistance, and I engaged in a conversation with the salesperson about video games, which were evidently their area of expertise and passion. The salesperson was clearly well-versed in the gaming industry and had a strong understanding of the market. They also provided us with information about warranties and return policies, given that we are not from the UK. Additionally, the salesperson recommended checking out the Edinburgh store, where I might find the DVD box set I was looking for.
