“Great staff. It was perfect cozy place to stay in heart of positano. Hotel and restaurant staff were amazing and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast was alright and did not live up to 4 star hotel standards. So definitely room for improvements. For parking, we recommend hotel to charge instead of we pay to parking lot people because we booked room with parking added and we thought charges will be paid directly to hotel instead we had to go to parking lot to pay and it's a hassle.”

The breakfast is also excellent: substantial, made with fresh ingredients, great coffee. The rooms are overall ok and the beds are quite comfortable too. The location is great: there’s a beach across the road, the train station to Naples is nearby (yet I’ve never heard the trains), and there’s a vast choice of great restaurants within a few minutes’ walk.”

“We stayed two weeks in the hotel Providence and had a wonderful time there. We were warmly welcomed by the owner of the hotel at our arrival. All the staff members are professional but kind and not business-like, especially the owners. The hotel is not small at all, but we felt that they cared each of their guests, which made our stay very special. We particularly appreciated the cleanliness of the room and common areas, a beautiful garden with vineyards and aromatic plants, a relatively large swimming pool and hot spring outside, a magnificent view over the sea and the mountains, piano and violin music in the evening (not everyday), and a navette service between hotel and the city centre of Folio. We were also very lucky as they had a special evening for an ascension on a terrace with beautiful decoration and excellent dishes. We have a small child, so it was really great that there was a lady who kept children in the afternoon and did different activities with them. In terms of food, in the evening, we found the portion was huge (though tasty, especially all different sort of pasta), so after several days, I only had appetizer and the first course and skipped the main dish. Even with that, it was a lot. For breakfast, there were much more choices for sweets than salty. That is perhaps a minor negative point that can be improved. Overall, it was one of the best vacations for us thanks to the hospitality of the Hotel Providence!!”

“My daughter and I stayed here in August. This hotel is great. The staff are the most professional and polite hotel staff we have come across. The hotel is only a few moments walk into town, the pool is great, we got lunch by the pool one afternoon and it was delicious. The rooms are lovely, ask for one at back of hotel, a little quieter. Breakfast has everything you want. The spa and hotel in general is spotless. If you are looking for a base to go sightseeing, excursions and ramble into town at night, you won’t find more reasonable. However, this hotel does not provide night time entertainment, you can get a drink but the bar is in the lobby. This didn’t bother us, we were out and about or relaxing in our room. Highly recommend this hotel.”

“Initially we were a little bit disappointed in how the rooms were very different from the jet2 photos. The rooms were pleasant, but the shower is either in need of a clean or an upgrade as the water comes out so slowly. Having said that, the staff were WONDERFUL. Always willing to go the extra mile to help you and make sure you feel at ease. Feel perhaps this is more of hotel to relax in, rather be than a hotel with a lively atmosphere. Sant ágata is a lovely little village, all the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming! I’d definitely recommend going and having a drink in bar Orlando, real authentic Italian bar. The hotel is a 30 minute bus ride to Sorrento ( the views from the bus are breathtaking) and Sorrento is a stunning place with lovely little market shops, amazing pizza and pasta😂 and not badly priced. Overall we had a wonderful holiday, mainly thanks to the kind and lovely hotel staff. If you’re planning a relaxing trip to Italy, don’t give hotel sant ágata a miss!”
