Villa I Barronci

Via Sorripa, 10, 50026 San Casciano in Val di pesa FI, Italy

“The most unique place we stayed during our trip to Italy. We decided to book the tree house for 4 days for a more relaxed vibe during our 2 week vacation to Italy and we were not disappointed! We rented a car in Florence which I would highly recommend for the easiest way of getting to and from the hotel since it is a little off the beaten path. Private parking, room was amazing, staff and housekeeping were very friendly, and the views of Tuscany were unmatched. The tree house has full glass windows on one side of the room, which makes waking up every day to the beautiful Rolling hills and vineyards one of the best experiences we could have asked for.”

Località Castelfalfi, 50050 Montaione, FI, Italy

“The resort was absolutely beautiful and extremely well-kept. Staff and service were outstanding. The staff were always willing to assist and accommodate with anything we needed. Food was excellent, and each of the restaurants and common areas were so beautifully furnished and designed. The amenities were awesome! We made good use of the spa, which includes a heated pool that connects to the outside. This was great for cold weather since the normal pool was closed due to weather. Gym was spacious and had adequate equipment and even came with snacks, headphones, and cold towels. The excursions and activities were a bit pricey, but we did splurge on the wine tour and had a great time with Alex! Would definitely recommend and return again!”

Ville Sull'arno

Lungarno Cristoforo Colombo, 1/3/5, 50136 Firenze FI, Italy

“We had an overall nice stay at the hotel. The room was very comfortable, with a beautiful view of the Arno. The breakfast buffet offered many options, I only wish there was a bigger variety of fruit. The spa area is quite small, with two small saunas, 2 showers, a relaxation area and a hydro massage pool; but it was still very enjoyable. The fitness area only has three cardio machines, which we found a little disappointing. I don’t understand why we were only allowed to use both areas for an hour daily. The biggest downturn of this hotel is its location. It is located right next to a large, busy street which is 40 minutes away from the city center by foot. They offer a pick-up and drop-off shuttle service, but the times are very limited. We mostly used an e-scooter to get around, as the last pick-up time is around 7pm – which is quite early if you’re looking to have some nice dinner in the city before coming back to the hotel. We had a car, but parking inside the city as a tourist is an absolute nightmare, so beware. Besides, the hotel charged us a whopping 25 euros per day for parking there, which we also found extremely nonsensical. This kind of service should be free for guests, especially in such a nice hotel.”

Località Vicchio, 4, 50022 Greve in Chianti FI, Italy

“Stopped for lunch on drive to Siena. Very beautiful and scenic views around the grounds. Walked around for 30 minutes and then had lunch. Wait staff was patient and kitchen staff accommodated our request. Wine selection was awesome- enjoyed the Chianti Classico -7 Euro per glass. The fresh breads - delicious. The pumpkin soup with goats cheese was mouth watering. You get what you pay for. The 3 homemade white chocolate drops w/raspberry made you want more.”

“Pretty place, not too far from Florence, you can take the bus 39 close to the train station for 1.50€ per person, it will bring you in 42min to the destination. Rooms are Perfect, AC works really well. The view with the pool is perfect and relaxing. You can ask the restaurant to bring a bottle to the pool. For the restaurant, the food is amazing 👌”

Villa Gamberaia

Via del Rossellino, 72, 50135 Settignano FI, Italy

“An absolute disaster!!!! I would warn anyone looking to visit Villa Gamberaia or having their wedding here to stay far far away!! Our visit to Villa Gamberaia was incredibly disappointing. My fiance, his parents, my parents and myself all came to Villa Gamberaia to visit it for our wedding in 2025. We traveled from the UK and the USA for a few days to Italy to look at venues but were greeted horribly from Villa Gamberaia and their staff there. All of the negative reviews about this place are true so steer clear! The Villa manager, who was supposed to give us the tour and discuss our 2025 wedding, failed to show up without any prior notice. Instead, we were left in the hands of a housekeeper who rushed us through the tour, displaying a lack of professionalism and courtesy to people who have traveled from abroad and taken time to visit their place. It would have been fine if the manager had told us or our wedding planners that she wasn't going to be there, but instead she just didn't show and forced an inadequate staff member to show 6 of us around the Villa. It's such a shame because the Villa itself has beautiful views but that was quickly forgotten with the horrible treatment we received. At first the housekeeper told us that we couldn't see the rooms for our guests to stay in or the room where the party would be in. How are we suppose to spend thousands of euros at a wedding venue if we can't even see the rooms where we would have the event? Eventually, she let us see the room after our wedding planner repeatedly asked on the tour. She quickly pushed us through and barely answered any of our questions. This left us feeling undervalued as potential clients who traveled from abroad and took time out of our holiday to come to the Villa. To top off the rushed and poorly managed wedding tour, the housekeeper then told us that we had to move our cars at the Villa and that we had to leave.. immediately!! We were only there for only 30 minutes at this time and then were basically pushed our and were greeted at our car with a man screaming at us to leave. I can't imagine what it would be like for our guests if they decided to drive to the wedding. An absolute disaster!!! We had high hopes for this venue, but unfortunately, this experience has cast a shadow over what could have been a joyous occasion. This was one of our top venues based on photographs but the management destroyed the option to ever have our wedding here. I can't imagine how they would treat us on the happiest day of our lives if they were totally rude and disrespectful just on a 30 minute tour visit! There are so many other beautiful venues around this area that treated us so kindly that our couples should look at instead of this one. I highly suggest doing your research and trusting in negative reviews like this!”

Villa Il Padule B&b Dimora Storica Firenze Sud
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$
Closed until 05:00 PM

Via del Padule, 33, 50012 Bagno a Ripoli FI, Italy

“Villa il padule is a nice b&b on the outskirt of Florence. The house was built way back in time - the owner kept the original design and it feels very traditionally. Don’t expect state of the art or modern experience. This is a nice getaway from All the hustle and bustle in downtown Florence. The taxi is a bit of a challenge and it’s expensive. Usually there’s long waiting Before getting a taxi (45min - 1hour) Make sure you have pocket WiFi - that makes it so much easier to get a taxi. The service is very relaxed (don’t stress) and the atmosphere is relaxing.”
