Craig Goch Dam
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Rhayader LD6 5HS, United Kingdom

“Went here with my son, we had a great time looking at the shear scale of the dams. Only one was overflowing and its so impressive. We loved it and will be back again.”

Cauldron Falls
4.8
( 8 reviews )

West Burton, Leyburn DL8 4JW, United Kingdom

“Great hidden gem which you wouldn't have any clue existed as it's nicely tucked away. You park on the road that runs through the village and walk about 300 yards to the falls. As you approach you start to hear the stream and the falls start to open up. It's a spectacular sight as you can get very close. Be careful because it's slippery in places.”

Harvington Hall
4.8
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 10:30 AM

Harvington Hall Ln, Harvington, Kidderminster DY10 4LR, United Kingdom

“An amazing place to visit. Our guild Wendy was so nice and knowledgeable she made the experience even better. It has the most priest holes then any other house I have been to. To day they had a reenactment, the costume were great and the guns and canon were loud and amazing. It cost £12 to enter, it's not national trust but I was happy to pay it. I would recommend a visit and will go back with my grandkids”

Cove Harbour
4.8
( 8 reviews )

6 W End, Cove, Cockburnspath TD13 5XD, United Kingdom

“A lovely place. Easy to get to with a car park at the top, it's free but donations for the upkeep of the paths etc are requested (pop a few quid in the box at the top of the path near the gate). We didn't see any marine life but plenty of birds; really the views and the calm of the place were the main attraction. Check the photos, words can't do it justice. The path down is easy to walk and wide enough for vehicles (which occasionally do use it to get up / down to the harbour). No rugged boots required if the weather is good. Great views from the top and all the way down. Towards the bottom the path splits, left for the left harbour wall and buildings, right to go through the tunnel and the small beach plus the right harbour wall.”

Wirral Country Park Caravan And Motorhome Club Campsite
4.6
( 8 reviews )

Station Rd, Thurstaston, Wirral CH61 0HN, United Kingdom

“We were booked in for 3 nights here. 1st time to the site, we will come again. Close to family, which was the reason for the trip. Nice layout, clean ablutions, easy to find with Google maps. Friendly, helpful staff on site. Tidy site, overlooking the River Dee. The fish and chip van visits on a Tuesday evening. We can recommend them. They also have a pizza guy on a Friday evening too. You are welcome to use the social club meant for the Thurstaston Caravan Owners Club, where they have live music and bingo. It is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.”

Kingsgate Bay Beach
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Whiteness Rd, Broadstairs CT10 3QL, United Kingdom

“Sheltered bay with step access from the road. Good views of the impressive Kingsgate Castle building (not a tourist attraction), though the concrete sea defences below it detract somewhat from the natural beauty. The cave on the opposite side of the bay once connected the beach to the Captain Digby pub, but has suffered damage from collapses and is now unsafe to enter. No parking specifically for Kingsgate Bay, so best visited by a walk from nearby Botany Bay.”

Trevedra Farm Caravan & Camping Site
4.8
( 8 reviews )

Sennen, Penzance TR19 7BE, United Kingdom

“The best campsite in the UK? Possibly! Excellent location, within 10 minutes of world class surf beaches and rock climbing areas. Postcard worthy views, stunning sunsets. The campsite facilities are great, very well thought out, spotlessly clean and very friendly. There are also warm wetsuit showers! There is a pretty well stocked shop, although be warned if you go in the morning, you will find it hard to resist the smell of fresh croissants! It isn’t the cheapest site around but it’s very reasonably priced for what you get. 10/10”

Conwy Morfa Beach
4.6
( 10 reviews )

Conwy LL32 8GA, United Kingdom

“Great beach but very windy while we were here.. pebbled on first bit, but once tide went out it revealed lovely golden sands. We were here in October and felt like we'd the whole beach to ourselves.. dog friendly and plenty of parking in the nearby carpark...”

Knepp Wildland Safaris
4.8
( 8 reviews )

New Barn Farm, Swallows Ln, Dial Post, Horsham RH13 8NN, United Kingdom

“Supported what they were doing and have previously visited and carried out surveys but have lost a lot of respect knowing that they welcome the Crawley & Horsham hunt on their land. Charlie Burrell's uncle is a director of the hunt so it appears to be a family business. They close down any mention of their support on their social media by deleting or hiding comments. Seems it isn't 'on brand' for their Knepp business. Ironically Isobella Tree calls out dog walkers for letting their dogs loose in the wild in her book Wilding. No association is made between their beloved ‘letting off steam’ and the impact on wildlife. In a depleted environment beset by pollution, fragmentation and climate change, uncontrolled dogs are yet another burden, to add to predation by free-roaming domestic cats, putting unwarranted pressure on wildlife. Tree, Isabella. Wilding: The Return of Nature to a British Farm (pp. 329-330). Pan Macmillan. Kindle Edition”

Blair Castle Caravan Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )

Blair Atholl, Pitlochry PH18 5SR, United Kingdom

“Fantastic park, amenities are very clean and good working order, small cafe opens 8-10:30 which is good for tents looking for an easy breakfast, plenty walks for dogs round the outskirts of the caravan park, definitely worth checking out the castle and gardens. Our trip was quite eventful as I was asked while out walking to help herd sheep that had escaped which made the trip more memorable.”

Scudamore's Mill Lane Punting Station
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Open until 04:30 PM

Mill Ln, Cambridge CB2 1RS, United Kingdom

“A must visit while visiting Cambridge! Staff were very professional and definitely play a massive role in your experience! We learned so much about Cambridge, but also enjoy some stunning views!”

Wasdale National Trust Campsite
4.7
( 16 reviews )

Wasdale Head, Seascale CA20 1EX, United Kingdom

“Camped for one freezing November night during a short backpacking trip. The site was perfect: welcoming staff, nice little shop but the facilities: oh my! Spotless washrooms, heated floors, lovely hot showers and a most welcome drying room. Nice grassy area for tents, very slight slope, but not an issue. Views to die for. The whole site is a credit to the NT and the local staff.”

Castell Y Bere
4.8
( 8 reviews )
Open until 04:00 PM

Llanfihangel-y-pennant, Tywyn LL36 9TR, United Kingdom

“Picturesque ruins on a rocky outcrop overlooking the valley. Stunning views. When passing through the second gate there are three paths, the one to the left goes round to the steps leading into the castle. Not sure why a closing time is specified on the sign in the car park as it isn't manned and nothing is locked. Would recommend a visit.”

Penygader

Penygader

4.9
( 10 reviews )

Dolgellau LL36 9AJ, United Kingdom

“I recently embarked on a trekking adventure with my family to Penygader, and I must say, it stands out as one of the finest trekking routes among the plethora of options Wales has to offer. Without a doubt, it deserves a solid five-star …”

Predator Experience - Wolf Experience Uk
4.9
( 8 reviews )
Open until 05:00 PM

PRE-BOOKING ESSENTIAL, Predator Experience, Ayside, Grange-over-Sands LA11 6HY, United Kingdom

“My goodness is this experience my cup of tea! I am a HUGE animal lover, it's just a fact. If there's animals involved, I'm there. I'm the guy at the party who hangs out with the dog, that's just who I am. So when my wife surprised me with this experience for my birthday this October, I couldn't wait. The couple who run the place are very nice and personable and clearly know what they're talking about, they have many years of collective experience. They have wolves and there is also a small paddock with a pair of foxes which are also worth a visit. The experience is just amazing. It only involves small groups, so crowds aren't overwhelming. It's also easy enough to find with Google Maps. You get face to face (literally) with the wolves. You get to walk them, you get to watch them all howl as a pack, you get to feed them, and you come away with many many photos. Cameras are allowed, but the weather was so miserable when we were there that I decided to just use my phone. I still came away with some lovely photos amd the weather didn't stop us having an amazing time. They're just the most beautiful creatures. Make sure you follow the instructions beforehand, don't come wearing any fur-lined clothing or leather or bits of food on you and you'll get on just fine. These are young wolves so they're very friendly, not much different from your dog at home. I absolutely loved it ❤️”

Wareham Forest Tourist Park
4.6
( 16 reviews )

North Trigon, Wareham BH20 7NZ, United Kingdom

“Fantastic campsite for families, we have 3 young boys and they loved it. Heated pool was a massive hit. Pitches are all well maintained (we had fully serviced), the toilet block was always very clean, take away food options in the evenings were a bonus, staff are very friendly. Not quite 5 stars for a couple of reasons: There are only 2 toilet blocks and they are at the front of the site, so can be bit of a walk for some of the pitches (I noted some people driving to the block in the morning). There are a lot of seasonal pitches and whilst everyone was friendly it felt a little cliquey. Despite clear posting that dogs were not allowed in the pool area, it seemed that there were always people with dogs sat around the pool and the staff seemed to turn a blind eye. The negatives are minor and we will be back, this really is a great campsite.”

Rhossili Bay Beach
4.9
( 16 reviews )

Rhossili SA3 1PL, United Kingdom

“It is paradise! Everything, starting from the sandy beach to the horses walking freely on the cliff. I didn't think that I will find such a treasure in Wales. Dear Nature, you did it niiiiiicely! If you haven’t seen it - it is a must. Nice cafe next to the big parking, public toilets and showers. And nothing else which is the best part of this place. Almost pure nature.”

Llanddona Beach
4.7
( 8 reviews )

Unnamed Road, 8UN, Beaumaris LL58 8UW, United Kingdom

“What a stunning and beautiful place. Not busy at all, even during the summer holidays (we visited near the end of August). Free parking and also space near the beach for parking. Absolutely amazing scenery with green hills behind and long sandy beach. Great place to walk and explore. Because of the size and fact the tide goes out quite far, there is lots of space to feel like you have the place to yourself. Would definitely recommend. The narrow approach is stunning also, might be tricky if a car came the other way, but still well worth the effort!”

Doc Fictoria
4.5
( 8 reviews )

OFFICE, Victoria Dock, Caernarfon LL55 1SR, United Kingdom

“A beautiful dock surrounded by modern buildings. I'd suggest there is not a great deal to do here as such but there are beautiful boats moored up and it's nice to watch the aquatic wildlife in the waters.”
