Ghosts & Gravestones Tour Key West
4.1
( 8 reviews )
Open until 10:00 PM

501 Front St, Key West, FL 33040, United States

“Was expecting the spooky bus but we were placed on the orange bus. We had 2 families on the bus that were disruptive and disrespectful. One had a child screaming and crying she didn’t want to go and the mom kept saying it’s okay, go on. The child was so distraught, it threw off the guide which started his script 4 times. Then when the dad took the kid off the bus, the ‘mother of the year’ screamed at him to come back and got all bent out of shape. It didn’t stop there, she got on the phone with hubby and was still disrupting the tour. Finally, the guide got it together and off we went. I found the stories to be lame and many of them were said during the conch tour which we were told would be completely different. I also found the entire thing to be completely scripted and a lot of the sights we were told to go visit them later as we passed right by them. We did go in one building; it smelled horrendous but there was a story. We then got to go upstairs to another room which we stayed in way too long. In my opinion, this tour needs to be restructured to fit the surroundings, patrons desire and age and time slots. For example, families with kids go on early tours with a guide not dressed as scary and over 21 go at 9 and 9:30. As it was, I cannot recommend this tour. Sorry. I’m posting pictures. The lady in blue dress was the main disrupter, as if the other patrons meant nothing and this entire tour needed to revolve around her. David was a great driver.”

Amelia Island Lighthouse
4.2
( 16 reviews )

215 O, Hagan Ln, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034, United States

“First, I must say I knocked 2 stars because of #1 NOT being opened during the hours they advertise (info. on the Internet says the grounds are only opened on Saturdays 11am to 2pm. This is a lie!) and #2 lack of information (no one at the Parks and Recreation Dept. even answers the phone). We drove all the way from St. Petersburg, FL to see this lighthouse and (in part...I guess because we saw it!) it was a waste of money & time. Nobody was there. All you can do is take pictures from the outside. It's sad that there are a lot of people still interested in visiting these iconic structures but there's no support for this type of tourism. There should be an album where you can get stamped for every lighthouse visited.”

Key West Cemetery

( 8 reviews )

701 Passover Ln, Key West, FL 33040, United States

“Absolutely beautiful, unique, and peaceful cemetery. Lots of iguanas and other lizards to see. Old, and interesting Graves and headstones. I had never seen so many above ground graves.”
