Wolff's Biergarten
4.4
( 16 reviews ) $$

895 Broadway, Albany, NY 12207, United States

“This is one of our go to places for Birthday drinks or social gatherings. The atmosphere is chill & the staff has always been great, and I like the drink selection too. (FYI: It's a dog friendly place. I'm allergic but love dogs & it does't bother me.) The last two years for my birthday we had one of the same bartenders and he took care of us the entire night. Made sure we were set with food/drinks & had a good time. Last week was especially fun & I'll be going back well before my next birthday.”

24 Caroline St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866, United States

“While we visited Saratoga we were seeking a New York style craft cocktail and dining experience. We loved the variety of menu options that covered vegan through surf and turf. The oysters were magnificent and the cocktails were comparable to Manhattan's Ritz-Carlton but priced reasonably. Loved it so much we recommended it to fellow travelers who asked for a recommendation. We will make sure to stop by again when we are in town! I may even call in advance to make sure i have my beloved gin-gin fizz waiting 😉”

The Ten Bells

“GREAT happy hour option. $1 oysters and a $20 carafe of wine. The place got filled up at the bar pretty quickly, but it has a back room with a long table and an outdoor area. Might be my next oyster spot! (And will still come back for tapas too)”

“I was ecstatic to give this a visit on our trip to the big apple- the end result was just alright. We didn’t have a reservation, and we’re seated at our choosing (the bar) Kevin was attentive, and helpful with which wine to navigate next with. Four stars as -the aracini was a bit dry, needs more sauce or perhaps over cooked slightly. The plate needed a little finish wipe (nothing to cry over), the bursted tomatoes were a highlight of this dish with the pesto -truffle pasta lacked sauce too, and not much flavor, another dish that was just ok -short rib was spot on of the three, the mushrooms were delicate and delightful; the short rib pulled apart without tugging, too very little to no fatty pieces present -a plus note, all dishes had beautiful presentation to them -our neighbors had the tower, which was a unique way of cheese + charcuterie Overall, experience was pretty good, wine list was plenty to offer, especially when there’s wine you don’t normally get to try, atmosphere was cozy. I would absolutely come here for a glass with a friend or book. Wanted to try the wine flight, ran out of time.”

The Top Of The Standard

The Standard, High Line, 848 Washington St, New York, NY 10014, United States

“Great place to view the city at night and see the sunset. I had no issues getting in and felt the staff was great! Enter from the side and not through the hotel. There is typically a short line outside that moves rather fast. Place is not open too late so don’t plan on parting till midnight! Manhattan drink was made with Wild Turkey.”

“My first time here and I had a lovely experience. I came for a work outing. The service was amazing. There was nothing that I can complain about the atmosphere was sophisticated and elegant. We were all comfortable and enjoyed our time there. The coconut espresso martini was delicious five of us ordered it. We had two different kinds of wine that were very tasty. The food was good, and the servers were very friendly.”

“Very cozy, good atmosphere. Almost feels like a small wine bar in Portugal. Organic wine was excellent. Ended up drinking 2 bottles.”

“Incredibly cosy wine bar on the west side with a great atmosphere! We arrived right after 5pm and easily got a table, about an hour later the place was packed. We only had the pimento cheese and crackers with our wine, but the rest of the menu looked tasty as well. Totally recommend!”

“Had a great time here (it was also my first time). I loved all the cocktails because they were made well. The staff was very warm, friendly, and helpful whenever I had a question about their menu. I highly recommend their octopus appetizer. Usually a lot of places mess up cooking octopus (mainly over cooking it to rubber), but they cooked it just right. I highly recommend coming here.”

Black Rabbit Barbershop

444 Melrose St, Brooklyn, NY 11237, United States

“I went to this place because it has good reviews and is also close to my Apt. However, my experience with Jack was pretty bad. I explained to him the type of fade I wanted, but in the middle of it, I could see that he wasn’t doing what I asked. So, I tried to explain to him again what I wanted, and he gave me an attitude, started rushing, and ended up not doing what I asked. Honestly, the fade I asked for was pretty simple - a mid-drop fade. Additionally, for the top, he didn’t even ask me how much length he should cut, he just cut a little bit and said, “done, next.” Sometimes it’s understandable if the barber messes up the haircut, but having an attitude is not acceptable, especially when the client is paying for the service and also tipping you.”

Dirty Precious

317 3rd Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215, United States

“The barman was both friendly and knowledgeable about liquors. I learned new types and brands! Discovered mushroom liquors and cocktails and they were yummy! He also used a glass that I prefer for my drink. I love that the place is spacious and well lit (reminds me of Belle and Dragon from back home). The music was nice and at a good volume. Will definitely go back”

Bota Bar

25-07 Broadway, Queens, NY 11106, United States

“Ordered delivery. Came late. Never ordering from this place again. The portions are a rip-off. It’s way over priced. There are much better options in Astoria for the cost. And better taste as well. Adding photos of how outrageous it was. A To-go bowl of pasta that cost $30 and our garlic bread that was $8. Both were a joke.”

“Loved this wine bar! Everything was great including the ambience, the service, the food and obviously the wine; Not a single bad thing. Would definitely recommend as one of the better wine bars in the area. Oh and the risotto was to die for so DO NOT MISS THAT!”

“Cute, kitschy bar with eclectic decor from Japanese face masks on the wall to random Bollywood art hanging in the back, and the coolest bathroom. Stopped by early Friday night like typical happy hour time, just a handful of tables inside but there was plenty of space, plus some tables outside. Approachable and friendly bar staff. Happy hour drinks are a steal I think $8-12, and really other good seasonal drinks too that were $15-16. Amazing playlist, early 2000s hip hop, some of my favorite Ashanti songs (maybe a niche reference). Stopped by as a quick pit stop before a movie, definitely wished we stayed longer.”

Bibi Wine Bar
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

211 E 4th St, New York, NY 10009, United States

“This place is a perfect date spot or drink with a friend vibe. Great lighting. Cute seating options either at tables or at the bar. Great happy hour till 8! The wine list is 10/10. Food list is fine. Not super creative but a some good options for little snacks to accompany the drinks. Both dishes we ordered were yummy! The best part was the service. They were clearly understaffed that night (it happens!). But the one woman that was working there was killing it. Most efficient, most helpful, nice and fast service. Can’t wait to go back!”

The Copper Still Chelsea
4.4

206 7th Ave, New York, NY 10011, United States

“Easily one of the best happy hour spots in the city. The deals are phenomenal and the cocktails are delicious. We ended up going here with some work buddies and tried just about everything on the happy hour menu. It was was great but I think the pork sliders were my favorite. The Brussels sprouts were top notch as well. They have a decent beer selection with a few on the happy hour menu. I’ll be back for sure.”

Robibero Winery

714 Albany Post Rd, New Paltz, NY 12561, United States

“Spacious and well laid out grounds. Nice patio, fire pit, and several corn hole stations set up. The employee who conducted the wine tasting knew nothing about the wine. The wine was just ok. The pizza was poor. We were told we needed to use plastic cups and paper plates on the patio, which didn't add anything to the experience. The potential is there, but improvements are needed.”
