“Visiting the TJ Maxx was a fairly positive experience for the most part, however there was a significant amount of empty shelves which lead to a shortage in certain sections of the store mainly pertaining to self-care, makeup and shoes. On the contrary the Runway - Designer section of the store was heavily plentiful with a variety of high end designers. Overall a good experience despite lacking certain products. Would recommend to those looking for designer brands at a great price!”

But I felt overwhelmed when she brought 8 bras in the room (which is small).While trying to decide, the owner of the store started talking down to me about her employee, and it was such a rude experience. That’s zero stores. I’ve never been talked to like this and I won’t judge the whole North Shore by this one incident. Good news, found a great store in Chicago, 10 minutes from me. Friendliest staff, large rooms, offered water, wine and snacks. Bought 2 bras in 15 minutes. Shouldn’t have gone to Wilmette to begin with. Go to RIGBY at 900 N Michigan for GREAT service and selection!”

“Margarita was very rude to me and was not professional, she smirks at her co workers and customers. I was waiting in line at customer service, and there was a lady in front of me, margarita started helping her then decided to have her wait on the side while another employee came to help. If you start helping a customer assist them to the end, don’t be stuck up about it. Lines are very long, I understand that there are many people but, they have only 2 check lanes open and one side of the self checkout open. Many employees are slow and don’t have the correct work ethic.”

“We went a few months back to look for my daughter’s sweet 16 dress and I was happy to see SOO many dresses in stock. We had gone to a few other shops so we knew exactly the dress we wanted that everyone else had out of stock. To our surprise they just received the dress and had it in stock in every size! We were so happy! On the initial day we went we had a fabulous girl helping us in the changing rooms but we chose to come back another day with family to see the dress and buy it. The second time we went we still wanted to try on a few sizes and we had a new girl that helped as much as she could. We ended up buying the dress that day and the front desk lady was very helpful! Each dress comes with one free steam so I used that at a later time. We also got a free tshirt! Minus one star because we couldn’t take pictures in store so had to make another trip back to show family before we purchased. A big pain considering other stores have the same exact dresses and pictures are allowed everywhere else. Other than that, we had a great experience.”

“These are basically H&M quality clothes for super high prices relative to that poor quality. ($60 for pants that would be $15 at H&M). They also don’t do refunds, even when the clothes themselves are defective (broke while I was putting the pants on at home!) with tags attached + receipt. The sale rack is nice and the prices are more appropriate for the quality. The first time I went in everyone was smiling and friendly. The second time, the manager couldn’t even make eye contact bc she was rolling her eyes at me trying to return the defective pants 🙄”

Everything is very well organized, and they had an awesome selection of Halloween themed clothes and a large stash of winter holiday sweaters, as well as dance/club wear. But my favorite was the rack of "sea captain" sweaters. Very reasonable prices, and some great sale deals. Definitely worth a visit if you like thrifted clothes and unique trendy 90s look fashion!”

“The only helpful person - the sales associate who assisted my daughter and I in purchasing a fall coat (children’s clothing). She was very sweet, and even showed my daughter a few cute hats. If I were only reviewing her, this would be a five star review. After completing the purchase, we went to the skincare and cosmetics department. There was a particular product I was looking for, and none of the associates offered to help. In the past, this has been a non-issue. I stood at three different counters, and no acknowledgment was made. I noticed at least one group of three associates chatting (looking at a cell phone, no less), and another employee paying for her own purchases. But, that was it. Admittedly, a few associates were busy with makeup applications, but, this was (maybe) two of twenty plus employees. I’m not someone who enjoys writing negative reviews, especially regarding a store I used to love shopping at. Customer service is what makes stores like NM great, and people will revert to shopping online if they can’t get help. It’s ridiculous that in a store full of employees, only one went above and beyond.”

He was not willing to help me after being mis informed by his workers and he was exceptionally rude.”
